Guest guest
Boy Good Will is really sick. I went in there today for about fifteen minutes and it has so many molds, I don't know if that is its own storage facilities or the combination of so many attics and basements. I know it has some of the toxic mold from my apartment in NY (whatever that is) because I had that emotional reaction. I could also smell it--like a " dry " mold. I got two sleeping bags there (polyester) for my partner and washed them twice in hot water with bleach and mule team borax, and put them in the dryer for 90 minutes. They seem fine, but I could not get the musty mold smell off of a ceramic cup!!! No kidding even after soft scrub hot water and a bleach soaking, it and a pot still had the odor so I pitched them. And my hair has it. I need to take a shower or put a towel over my pillow tonight and wash the towel tomorrow. I have noticed that hair keeps mold spores more than almost anything. Perhaps the oils and electrical charge attract them.
Guest guest
Sorry to hear that. I just hit a couple of new thrift stores north of Atlanta, and they hit me right back!! I guess I will have to kiss them goodbye for now. I only bought a bowl and a cup from one, and four used bikes from the outdoors of the other one. I don't try to go into thrift stores in my own town any more for now. Maybe someday, right? All the ones I go to seem to have that same dry-mildew-mold-STANK -- the same odor in them all. It all kind of blurs together into one new unified smell.......kinda like that universal food court smell. BTW, has anyone smelled botrys and KNEW that that is what they were smelling? I think I smelled it once, and it just smells really bad.........like get me the heck out of here NOW bad. --- In , " cocopollyphenol " <cocopollyphenol@...> wrote: > > Boy Good Will is really sick. Guest guest
I'm kinda new to the mold issue & saw that you both lived near Atlanta. I moved from Florida 3 yrs ago to the mountains. I was DX'd with mold hypersensitivity & was curious as to your experiences with doctors & mold. I am looking for a mold savy doc to help me recover once I've moved from the house I have repaired but still react to. Would you mind sharing your experiences? Feel free to email me offlist. Thank you for sharing. Peggy:) > > Sorry to hear that. I just hit a couple of new thrift stores north of Atlanta, and they hit me right back!! I guess I will have to kiss them goodbye for now.
