Cool! Does look tedious though, and I DO hydroponics! My mom grows orchids in

coconut shells-they look amazing, but they don't use hydroponics. Thanks for

sharing the link.

If you had the big bamboo and plenty of coconuts that would be fine.  Coconuts

may have attachment where holes ae in there to let the water through the bamboo

pipes get to the plants which are in coir in the coconuts with weeds through to

the water below.  Looks like a good inexpensive way to build one's own if one

were inthe islands where there were plenty of coconut palms.
