Guest guest
What Causes Chronic Sinusitis? Since 1999, a comprehensive body of basic and clinical research performed at the Mayo Clinic has indicated that chronic sinusitis is an immune reaction caused by fungus in susceptible patients (approximately 10% of the population). Researchers at Mayo Clinic determined that chronic sinusitis is caused by a normally innocuous non-invasive mold in the mucus, but which in chronic sinusitis patients elicits a destructive, inflammatory response. This eosinophilic inflammatory response is confirmed by testing for the presence of eMBP (eosinophilic major basic protein), which is a toxic protein released by inflammatory cells in response to the fungi. SinuTest™: Diagnostic for Chronic Sinusitis Accentia has the exclusive commercial rights in the U.S. to the patented diagnostic, SinuTest™, which is a diagnostic used to measure eMBP (eosinophilic major basic protein) in the nasal mucin of the suspected chronic sinusitis patients. SinuTest is the only confirmatory lab test available for the diagnosis of chronic sinusitis, and it is currently being marketed by Accentia to Ear, Nose and Throat Specialists (ENTs) and Allergy Specialists. SinuTest is expected to provide physicians with a tool to predict those patient candidates best suited to benefit from treatment with SinuNase. http://www.accentia.net/science_sinunase.php ................................................... > > What causes chronic sinusitis? > > http://www.cityallergy.com/60-chronic-sinusitis/ > > http://www.cityallergy.com/117-chronic-sinusitis-2/ >

Guest guest
Dr Marinkovich could have told them this long ago. He could have gotten exclusive Rights to Nizoral Spray but he was more interested in just solving the health problems of his patients, but good for they are looking at solving 'something'. Guest guest
Joe, it might interest you to know that I went to the mayo clinic, very first thing I was told was that they COULDN'T diagnose toxic mold exposure and they wouldn't be drug to court! but sence I was already there, witch they had told my doctor I needed to get there asap, and had already got a hotel room set up for a week, I should stay and get checked out. evertything they found can and is caused by mold exposure, yet after a long week of test after test, includeing lung, sinus, allergy, being diagnosed with chronic sinusitis and rhinosinusitis, the report says " although same of the illnesses found could be contributed to mold, we dont know if they all can. their allergest tried to make me pick a season when I felt better because of the allergies that their allergy testing, pin prick tests, didn't show, isn't that weird? I couldn't do that at that time, I was sicker than crap all the time than, seasons meant nothing to me. so he marked summer for me, after getting quite rude about it. summer, one of my worse times of the year. now I could tell them that my best time of year can be outside in the winter when it's snowing and in the early spring when it's rainy but not if it gets to warm and to rainy and not before a rain a rain at any time of the year if the fronts get to me but during the rain when all the crap is knocked out of the air I fell great, but the minute the sun comes out hot and things start being airborne again I start felling worse, that includes my sinuses. what do you think he would of thought had I told him that? and if you really understand what their findings sugest in 1999, it is about mold, not toxic mold, it is about bodily responces being toxic, not the mold, when you have chronic sinusitis. and yes you can and do have responces in the sinus when mold gets in the mucosal lineings, and they can be allergic, irritant, toxic. inflammation! I never had either chronic sinusitis or rhinosinusitis until I was exposed in a WDB! I DONT WANT TO HEAR ABOUT SUSCEPTIBILITY, my susceptibility was being exposed in a WDB and breathing mold and it's toxic by products up my nose, plus whatever else was there. I was healty, I was not sick, I was hardly ever sick my whole life. I never had allergies. so, unlike you I didn't have pre sinus issues or anything else, so I know the why's and wheres. susceptiblity happens when you start liveing in a WDB! what happens to cause chronic sinusitis and what happens after you have it are two different things. it's not the other way around! if I were you I'd be wondering greatly about my exposures when I was 9 that caused my illness than. I think the mayo's findings are lacking greatly, it's never one thing, one way and it's very easy to say, oh you have a susceptiblity to to this or that as a excuse not to dig deeper or have to get down to truth and cause. you see the exposure came first, than the sunis issues, not the other way around, just like the exposure came first than the allergies, not the other way around. > > What Causes Chronic Sinusitis? > > Since 1999, a comprehensive body of basic and clinical research performed at the Mayo Clinic has indicated that chronic sinusitis is an immune reaction caused by fungus in susceptible patients (
