Guest guest
There is in sufficient information as to the test media. Most likely they are using a kit that is designed to test for T-2 Toxin that is used to test food products for animals and humans. If this is what it is, it will not demonstrate macrocyclic trichothecenes product\ed by Stachybotrys. We need more information of what they are using as the tests medium, i.e. the antibody to the trichothecene. In addition, what are their validation data? I see nothing about validation. They do not have a system for aflatoxins and ochratoxins. I would not recommend the test for the above reasons. [] New Mycotoxin Test? Dr Thrasher, I'd like your opinion of a $93 mycotoxin test offered by Pure Air Control Services at: https://www.indoorairtest.com/displayproduct.asp?id=34 They have a series of other testing products for mold and many other tests which I am familiar with - okay for some limited screening IF you know what the limitations are. Guest guest
Thanks, Jack. I couldn't see how they could do anything useful or relevant for $93 when Realtime Labs is struggling to get the cost below $700. If it looks too good to be true, it is usually too good to be true. But... sometimes, just sometimes, it might happen. Thanks for your expertise in educating us. Carl Grimes Healthy Habitats LLC ----- There is in sufficient information as to the test media. Guest guest
You are welcome. There is always someone trying to get involved and make money without the proper validation required. Unfortunately, the injure are always grasping for an answer to a very complicated situation. Re: [] New Mycotoxin Test? Thanks, Jack.
