Guest guest
Hi Joe, How do you use the nebulizer?  I have an inhaler but have not had to use it in a while, quite a while but keep one just in case. Although it never really helped much. God Bless !! dragonflymcs Mayleen ________________________________ From: Joe Salowitz <josephsalowitz@...> < > Sent: Sat, September 11, 2010 3:26:24 PM Subject: [] Portable Nebulizer Sale This Weekend Recently, someone posted the sad truth that most medical insurance will not pay for a portable nebulizer, as if our illness disappears when we leave our home. This weekend there is a portable nebulizer, ON SALE, for a great price, at a well-known online medical supply house, that I have personally purchased from, many times. It is " Allegro Medical " . They have a wonderful " returns " policy, if you are disappointed with their products. The " Pacifica " brand portable nebulizer, which has a list price of $135.82, is on sale for $34.95. This sale price is further reduced, to $27.96, if you enter the " gift certificate " code of " 20 Sept 10 " , on the checkout page of the purchase process.  I have no financial connection to this company.  Click on this link: http://tinyurl.com/2em877z
Guest guest
If the inhaler didn't help you, the nebulizer would probably not help you either. As I said, in a recent posting, albuterol [the medicine in BOTH] didn't have much beneficial effect on MY TOXIC mold reactions, only on my allergic/asthmatic mold reactions. The main advantages of the nebulizer, are the longer time period of inhaling the actual medicine, and the absence of any chemical propellant to deliver the medicine. With the nebulizer, a piston pumps air into a reservoir containing the medicine. The air turns the medicine into a mist, which the air pressure delivers, through a face mask, into your lungs. In addition to albuterol (Proventil), you can add ipratropium bromide (Atrovent) to the reservoir, to help bring up phlegm from your lungs. The nebulizer can also be used (separately)to turn saline solution into a mist, which is surpisingly effective in loosening phlegm from the lungs. Boxes of medicine ampules require a prescription, but the ampules of saline solution are available without a prescription.
