Guest guest
Soy is a natural forming estrogen. Estrogen (listen to all those oral contraceptive commercials) can cause clots. I'm sure there is a fine line of too much but what I was told by a doctor (gyno-urologist) is that I personally should stay away from soy with my blood clotting history. Let me say that between the time I was 19-29 (when I had a hysterectomy)I had so many phlebitis and emboli I was in the hospital almost as much as I was out. So when they heard I was using soy milk to help with hot flashes and menopausal symptoms they warned me away from soy. I did have some silken tofu in a soup recently but from the 8 oz package I barely but a dent in it. Hope that makes sense..I think it is because of my history I was told to stay away from soy...now Meredith (my son's SO and soon to have our 3d grandchild) is a Vegan but she will not have soy either...never asked why Debbie in NJ > > Soy products cause blood clots? > Â > > Carolyn Wilkerson > >
