Guest guest
I'd think, " Do they have grass in Brooklyn " would be more likely question that " Do they have streets or sidewalks " . I remember being in New York back when I was 12 and everyone was walking so fast. And driving past, they were flying and passing me on both sides and I managed to get over to the right side when I reached Connecticut and stayed there at a lower speed until I could calm down. Busses were honking at me to get out of the way and I was going over the speed limit. Looked like if a car stopped and the person went for help that teenagers came over the side of the expressway and stripped it before owners got back. Maybe that was in Manhattan instead of Brooklyn. That was only about 25 or so years ao when I saw the cars. People seem to like being from Brooklyn. When you go down south then you see the big change as there they all walk and talk so slowly. No feeling of being rushed. I have an acquaintance who moved from Ohio to GA and her husband was a supervisor and she said he was having a terrible time adjusting as he was used to people moving and getting things done quickly while there they were so laid back it was driving him crazy. Difference is probably the sun and heat.  Carolyn Wilkerson  To: sproutpeople Sent: Tuesday, April 3, 2012 10:59 AM Subject: Re: This is what happened when my neighbor walked in yesterday and saw my microgreen  They have streets in Brooklyn? Guest guest
Of course we have streets in Brooklyn, We also have Avenues, Ways, Place, and lord knows what else. I always wished I lived in Staten Island. They don't have addresses like 14th Street, or Avenue U. In Staten Island. They have addresses like '24 Blueberry Lane or, Hyacynth Lane. I ALWAYS wanted to live at a fruit filled address. lol Melody > > They have streets in Brooklyn? > > This is what happened when my neighbor walked in yesterday and saw my microgreen > > My friend lives across the street. Guest guest
What about grass? Brooklyn sounds more like a " neighborhood " than a downtown or city area. Is it? Carolyn Wilkerson  To: sproutpeople Sent: Tuesday, April 3, 2012 8:54 PM Subject: Re: This is what happened when my neighbor walked in yesterday and saw my microgreen  Of course we have streets in Brooklyn, We also have Avenues, Ways, Place, and lord knows what else. Guest guest
Do we have grass? Oh yes, people have grass on their front lawns. They have to mow them and some people have decorative statues in front of their houses. But it's nothing like Staten Island where you have GRAND homes and lots of grass. lol Melody Brooklyn is not like downtown New York City where the city never sleeps, there is more noise than anyone can stand and you can pass thousands of restaurants at 10 pm and people are STILL eating outside on sidewalk tables. It's like New York is like Las Vegas. Everybody is always UP!!! lol . I personally know someone who moved BACK to NY from Pennsylvania because as she put it 'It's too darn quiet in Pennsylvania, there are no cars honking, nobody yells in the street " . She said " I could never sleep at night it's too quiet " . I couldn't believe what she was saying. > > > > They have streets in Brooklyn? > > > > This is what happened when my neighbor walked in yesterday and saw my microgreen > > > > My friend lives across the street.
