Pelonis 4-disc ceramic heater - will chem.smell go away?

Anyone have experience with this? I've just now purchased and started using the

Pelonis. There's been an extreme chemical smell when running it. The guys at

Pelonis were typical, flip, " customer non-service " . The top honcho claimed that

the chemicals would outgas by running the heater a couple hours. This was not

the case. I've had it on nearly 24 hours, and there is still a smell pervading

the dining room & nearby kitchen. So now, the guy's been taking the easy way

out, telling me to return it (and never mind the hassle & cost to me of return

shipping, not to mention that I may be giving up a good-quality heater in case

the smell does actually get outgassed).

Will the smell dissipate soon?
