Dear All,

For anyone in litigation or thinking of litigation or trying to figure out

how to stay out of litigation, below is information of a half day workshop

of the current state of mold litigation as it pertains to IAQ/Mold. It is

being given by the San Diego local chapter of IAQA.

The Present and Future Status of Mold and Indoor Air Quality Litigation –

A Plaintiff and Defense Attorney Perspective

Both Jeff LaFave (plaintiff attorney) and Lane Webb (defense attorney) are

respected as knowing their stuff over this issue with regard to litigation

and the role of IAQ/IAQ pros. Environmental Testing and Technology, who

are coordinating the half day workshop, are also highly regarded as

reputable and knowledgeable here in San Diego county. And of course it goes

without saying IAQA is regarded in the same light.

SAN DIEGO IAQA CHAPTER PRESENTS:

THE FUTURE STATUS OF MOLD AND INDOOR AIR QUALITY LITIGATION: A PLAINTIFF

AND DEFENSE ATTORNEY PERSPECTIVE

SPEAKERS:

LaFave, Esq.

LaFave & Rice

lafaverice.com

Lane Webb Esq.

Wood, , Henning & Berman

Litigation regarding mold exposure, water damage and other types of

indoor air quality issues has been prevalent for well over a decade. These

cases can involve substantial claims for personal injuries, lost profits,

remediation costs, attorney's fees and other damages. Defendants often

include developers, building owners, property managers, insurance companies and

remediators. Some cases have resulted in substantial settlements and jury

verdicts, including multi-million dollar awards.

What is the current status of mold and indoor air quality litigation?

What trends exist regarding this type of litigation and what does the future

hold? What is the current state of the medical science behind claims by

individuals who allege that they have been harmed by IAQA exposures? These

and other questions will be addressed by Mr. LaFave and Mr. Webb, who have

both been extremely involved in mold and indoor air quality lawsuits for

almost two decades.
