Guest guest
Hey group. I need some input and was wondering if any of you could help me out. In my FACES Newsletter I have a section titled " One Good Thing About Arthritis " . I have an abundance from young adults but would love to put something in there from parents or children. It only has to be a few lines upwards to a paragraph. Some things that have been mentioned that you may wish to elaborate on are: The strength it has given. Courage and bravery. Compassion and caring. The issue seems contradictory but in some way or another the vast majority I have spoke to, especially the young adults have had alot to say. If you can help, thanks in advance for doing so...Comments can be sent to faces1999@... and if you have a negative comment they are accepted also. No matter your feelings I am sure there is someone else out there tht feels like you do. Donna

Guest guest
Hi Donna: I know everyone recommends Dr. Lehman's book. In fact I have read it probably 3 times myself. The following is a line on Amazon for a book I received from Hannah's pyschologist during our last session. The book is called Conquering Your Child's Chronic Pain. It is written by Dr. Lonnie Zeltzer who I believe is a pediatrician. I am finding it an excellent source. http://www.amazon.com/Conquering-Your-Childs-Chronic-Pain/dp/0060570172/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/103-8578462-1040641?ie=UTF8 & s=books & qid=1177620701 & sr=8-1 Sending prayers & happy thoughts, Beth :-) Input needed I am working on a resource list to distribute to people seeking extra help and support. If you know of any good arthritis informational or support websites or books could you please email me the links or the title and author...... ......... ..Thank you so, so much!!!! Guest guest
I talked to the owner of the apartment complex that I'd like to move into and she told me that the apartment that's available had water damage 4 years ago, she said that they had to pull the carpet and treat the floor for mold. My question is, after 4 years of being mold free is this apartment safe or would it be to much of a risk to rent? TIA Tug
Guest guest
Is it mold free for you? There are so many variables to consider. Who did the repairs? How much went beyond the floors etc.? If it were me and someone told me that and it was not too hard to find another one I would not do it. But then I am really allergic to mold. My house seemed fine when we first moved in but when the rainy season started the mold spores rose again. They can be imbeded in the beams of the house etc. We had to do a lot of work and for sure remove all rugs and we still have more to do but it is in the basement where I never go. I use an ozone purifier and of all the air purifiers that one seems to eliminate the mold spores the best. My doctor feels that fungus is the hardest to get rid of in the body and I feel the same way in your home or habitation area. We have moved 25 times and lived in many areas and been exposed to many things but mold was the hardest and still is. I used to be a property manager so those people were decent to tell you. Also if you take it after they have told you and you have problems it will be a lot harder for you to work with them. YOu sign a lease you take the place as is especially if they have told you the problems in the past. Just my opinion. cathy > > I talked to the owner of the apartment complex that I'd like to move into and she told me that the apartment that's available had water damage 4 years ago, she said that they had to pull the carpet and treat the floor for mold. > > My question is, after 4 years of being mold free is this apartment safe or would it be to much of a risk to rent? > > TIA > > Tug >
