Guest guest
I know, Janet. I refused to take them when I was first diagnosed with interstitial lung disease, but I tried to explain here that my body was not producing cortisol (you can't live without it), so I was given replacement steroids. I just went to Sloan today for my first follow up. I will need to monitor the steroids to see if the pituitary will do its job now. If not, I may have to be on them for life. I'm being given the dose that the body normally puts out. I'm aware of the side effects, but in my case, there's not much else I can do or take right now. I just hate to see advice given to people who have adrenal problems without them first checking with their doctor. I literally almost died last November because my P.A. never did the right test after all these years. I would hate to see someone else perish because of bad info.
