Hit at Walmart

This has happened several times now. Metal building. Some roof leaks but manager

claims fised within days and the roofing et all is metal..looks metal to me.

First hit.. stadium chair cushion.. I figured it was one that someone brought

back. I smelled a wiff of mustiness and stupidly put it up to my nose to smell

it.. bad idea. I recovered ok.. think I may have had tachycardia, some breathing

issues.

Thinking isolated incident. Pick out a chair on another isle and it smells fine

(of chemicals but not " must " ).

Go to boys sock isle.. all plastic wrapped as far as I can tell. But I can smell

the " musty " smell.. where is this coming from? I cant see anything that would be

the source. The bags of socks in plastic smell fine so I get a few. Walk over a

few isles to sweat pants and jeans.. smell like chemicals nto musty.. get those.

there are two stores in this town.. kmart and walmart.. i choose walmart because

kmart has stained ceiling tiles all along one section of the store)

Last night.. halloween costumes.. one that my daugher likes is an opned

package.. so a return I would suspect or opened in the store. I do not smell

anything other than chemicals in this section.. nothing to make me think to be

concerned.. I get a whiff and the musty smell is there.. again.. dont believe my

nose and ptu it right up to my nose and take a whiff.. bad mistake,,

I almost had to go to hospital last night. breathing issues, feeling of

swellling in my throat like there was a coating of something (not mucous)

causing irritation.. I drank tons of water and it helps. I find a nasal spray

with saline and some xylitol and spray my nose.. blow.. there is blood. my

sinuses and brain are inflammed but diff from in m old house.. but similar..

brain foggy, ick..worse part was the breating.. I couldnt wash out my lungs.

Same night.. we walked down the boys sock isle.. i smell that musty smell

again.. only that isle and nothing it seemed could be the source.. then i see a

pile of cargo pants that seem to be the only thing not wrapped in plastic..

I just called the manager.. they are going to check it out and call me back.. I

told him I almost ended up in hospital and some of us are very sensistive to

mold, mildew, etc.. and it can be dangerous. He seemed concerned.. so we shall

see.. they do not store very much at all in the store.. goes from truck directly

out to floor???

I warned him about moist areas.. but seemingly they do not store.. I wonder if

there is something going in in the return area. But I think that stuff goes out

quicly back to the isle.

I cannot see how one person returned this stuff from teh same house but maybe

that possible..??

Any advice on what to do next time.. Its this store or kmart with the obvious

water damage.. maybe it still better???

Also what the heck is in musty smelling stuff that causes such a reaction?

Wondering if I am also unmasking.. hope so.. at least that will make some sense.
