Hello Mike: I am a Personal Trainer and Nutritional Consultant and would be happy to answer any specific questions you may have. It does vary somewhat with individuals, in terms of the information that I provide. Let me know specifically what you are seeking and I will try to help out. I am in the San Francisco Bay Area. with your question. As for me: I have gained some 40 lbs since I was diagnosed some 10 years ago. I have done that with correct medications and supplemental Testosterone, working out 3-4 days a week and getting good sleep and I stay fairly happy. (that helps a lot) I also make sure I eat as much as I can. I am not a big eater and that is a problem. I usually am hungry too late for proper nutrition all of the time. I am a bad learner when told "eat many small meals". Also, stress seems to be a large factor with HIV and does play a role in how one survives. If you feel you need an anti-anxiety medication ask your Doctor. I also do eat a protein bar with approximately 30gms of protein and many calories after working out...I shy away from the low carbohydrate ones. As every current periodical will tell you EAT ALOT OF GOOD FOOD AND WORK OUT. It

might be a good thing for you to get a trainer if you can afford it for a month or so. I used a trainer for six weeks some 7 years ago and he did wonders with me, and I still use what I was taught. I stopped when I could no longer justify the expense. Write anytime and keep us informed of your progress. Thad in San
