That is brilliant! The guy I visited in person is doing them in those 5 dollar

walmart kiddie pools with aquarium filters! My downstairs may soon be a fish

farm....lol (trust me when I say NO ONE would be surprised-I did a rice paddi

down there a few years ago, lol)

The guy with the kiddie pools had a whole bunch of pools-he moved the fish to

different ones as they got bigger, so there were fingerlings in several, medium

size in others, etc. He had pumps in each to keep the water flowing. It was

all done outside under a metal carport enclosure-very cool indeed. I have

pictures somewhere, will see if I can find them. I was intrigued enough to want

to try it, but it was an awful lot of work. I wouldn't mind doing it for a

round enough to get a freezer full, lol.

Carolyn:

Look into a product called Silver Biotics (after you are all better I mean).

I take one teaspoon once a day. So does my husband. I haven't been on (or needed

to be on ) an antibiotic for YEARS.

Before antibiotics were invented people used to take silver as a treatment and

as a preventive.

They are done much research in refining colloidal silver.

I find this product very very helpful in maintaining optimun health.

But we have to do what works for us.

Go to Google and type in Silver Biotics.

It's available at most health stores or online.

Why? Because the mere thought of anything swimming around in a pool INSIDE my

home, and I'm sleeping in another room? Well, I guarantee that would be grounds

for divorce.

There should be no need to use anything on your sprouts, but I do use GSE and/or

peroxide to disinfect my trays and sprouters (I don't want bleach near my food)

GSE would likely leave a taste you don't want if you used it on the sprouts-gse

tastes very bitter. I never use anything on my sprouts, no kep, etc. I dont

use anything on my microgreens either, but I do run a drop or two of peroxide

through the Easy Green sprouter, mainly to keep the unit from getting any

mildew, and I disinfect it periodically with GSE.

Yes, but what you can get at the store has come from fish farms, given

antibiotics, growth hormones, horrid sanitation in the tanks etc. At least with

your own, you could control that, and much of the farmed fish come from

countries where the sanitation is sketchy at best.

SIlver is interesting to make. There was a man here in town that made it for my

co op, and when he quit, I bought his equipment. It is a small generator, and I

use 14 guage pure silver wire, and glass mason jars. The whole setup looks like

something you would find in a mad scientists lab, but I make up a few gallons at

a time, and only need to do that maybe once a year. Takes up about 2 feet of

space.

LOTS of uses for silver! We take it internally at the first sign of any

problem. We haven't had a cold or flu in our house in years! When others

around us are sick, we don't catch, or can ward off whatever is going around.

It is also great for cuts, stinkgs, bug bites, anticeptic, etc. I make homemade

sterile eye drops and use the silver in them.

Your questions are not stupid in the least-we all had to learn somewhere,

NOOOO, don't drink a whole bottle-you only need a little for it to be effective,

and should only need it when you feel the need-such as a cold coming on, bladder

infections, etc. As for your eye doc...he is as clueless as the rest. Did he

say you have blephritis? That usually causes some cakey residue on the eyelids,

and could easily be dealt with with some colloidal silver on a q tip, and by

lightly scrubbing your eyelids with your eyes closed, with baking soda while you

are in the shower. If you read the list of ingredients on baby shampoo, you

will realize you don't want that anywhere near your eyes! You can buy a glass

eye wash cup at any pharmacy for a couple of dollars, and you can use that to

rinse your eyes with a simple homemade eyewash, or colloidal silver. I make my

eyedrops from boric acid (pharmaceutical grade) baking soda, a little sea salt

and a little colloidal silver. I mix up a fresh batch every few days, and keep

them in a brown glass bottle with a dropper-I sanitize it before adding the

drops. I also have a glass spray bottle with a perfume dispenser type pump,

which is great for misting your eyes when they are dry.

Sunnies could have been dropped by birds (cardinals perhaps) who relieved

themselves when flying and the sunnies managed to hit the compost pot or maybe

from just feeding birds as they often knock them off the feeder.

Subject: my very first sproutlings...

I reckon that is kinda confusing sentence. The sunnies were renegade

sproutlings coming from an old bucket of compost, they weren't something I had

planted and was actively growing, perhaps they are even from wild stock.

It's really hard for me to think small. I have nearly five acres of ground and

a 15x20 greenhouse. I usually start way toooo much and don't have any kind of

chance to take good care of it. Then I go back to work at the beginning of

harvest and much is lost.

I now have added chickens and tilapia, so there are a couple more avenues to use

produce if I need to. I still buy into that ole brainwashing about I have to

eat cows and wheat in order to survive, but I am slowly battling that idea as I

certainly am not as healthy as I should be.
