:

Go to a store that sells insulated coolers. They have nice size ones with

zippers. Pack it with cold keepers, put in your containers that are growing the

sprouts, zip the zipper.

It will be fine for 12 hours. Take out, rinse and drain, put the whole thing

back in.

That's great for when the weather is over 80.

Works for me.

Do you have any bare wall space? If you do, hang some shelves and you can put

your sprouts on the wall!!!

If I didn't have my book cases that's exactly what I would do.

Well, the same way I grow peppers, figs, eggplant, carrots, and the occasional

banana tree in my living room, silly! Just kidding. I do hydroponics and

aeroponice-anything can be grown indoors if you control the light and

enviroment. I started out with a few aerogardens and took it from there...now

my living room looks like a plant nursery most winters, but there is something

very fun about being able to pluck dinner from your TV stand! (I dont have a tv

on my " tv " stand-just planters, lol

OMG, I would SO like to have you as a neighbor.

I just brought a bag of sprouts across the street to my friend Jackie. I also

brought my new Sprout Sign. You should have seen her face.

It lit up like a Christmas Tree.

And my morning breakfast crew are LOVING THEIR SPROUTS.

I could do this forever. lol

LOL, I do use a compact variety (several of them) and I have them growing upside

down, with the container suspended from the ceiling, so no vines to trip over.

I have a bin that stays under it to catch dirt, and occasionally will here a

THUD in the middle of the night when one of the squash fall in to the bin-has

startled us awake a time or two, lol

You and I would be dangerous as neighbors, Melody! They would boot us out of

town. TWO crazy sprouting ladies is more than most can handle! Everyone in

town thinks I am the resident hippie nut....but who do you think they call when

they need garden advice, lol.

I found a really cool long, narrow Japanese style coffee table at a thrift shop

year ago-I have it along a wall in my house and it is a PERFECT spot for

aerogardens, sprouts, etc. If you have a space for one, just look for a coffee

table that is long and narrow-makes it much easier to reach things. Mine stands

probably 14 inches off the ground, and being as slim as it is, fits up against

the wall nicely.

the same with building shelves whether for AeroGarden or for sprouts.  It

would have taken less room than I have taken but I am short so can't reach the

top anyway.   Could even put a see through shelf in the opening and could

see the sprouts from both sides.

And this morning the waitress walks in and announces " I brought the bag of

sprouts that Melody gave me yesterday, I wasn't supposed to come in today but

the other waitress couldn't make it, SO I STILL GET TO HAVE MY SPROUTS "

Everybody burst out laughing. I had brought 3 little bags of sprouts for other

breakfasters.

I then announced " You guys really need to LEARN HOW TO DO SPROUTING. Learn by

using a mason jar, you know how to do this'.

They are beginning to listen.

This is so fun
