That had much larger bags of seeds that are organic and could be used for whatever, I presume. They had some sprouted seeds as well and I figured they were for cooking or chopping in something. It was interesting but I had most of the seeds I needed as I don't have a lot of space. The bigger bag, probably a pound was $12 something.  I was going to check for coir but I didn't see any and then my sugar must have dropped quite a bit as I felt shaky and went to the deli and got a couple of things and then bought a big cookie as I knew I needed to eat and get some sugar in my system. I have no idea what it was since I didn't have a meter with me. I had eaten at about 11 or 12 and it was about 5 so I shouldn't have had a problem. Maybe all the walking which I'm not used to. Didn't see a scooter until I was leaving. Got my walk in though. Wiped out when I finally got home. I sat there and ate one of my deli items as I had a spoon (no fork) in the glovebox.  I didn't feel well enough when I no longer felt shaky to go to Tooey's store which sells vitamins and supplements and veggies. It is less expensive than Whole Foods. That has to be another day. I don't usually have a problem with that so it was a surprise to feel that way. Maybe one of those spikes as I had cereal and a banana. Carolyn Wilkerson  To: sproutpeople Sent: Monday, April 2, 2012 6:18 PM Subject: day 1 store seeds  Black eye peas from grocery store food section - 30 min soak while getting trays ready. On day 1 they have sprouted long tails. Angelika
Guest guest
Let me jump in here. Coir from Mexico is notorious for being quite salty, and occasionally has bugs. Good quality coir from Sri Lanka or Thailand, is washed to remove as much salt as possible. The reason that it's so salty is because palm tress grow next to the ocean and thrive on salt water. ew MELODY - Re: What's Sprouting Melody - what do you mean about coir in the good one - not the Mexican? > So I will only sprout some brassicas and some flax and chia on the sure to grow mats from now on. All other greens will be grown in Coir IN THE GOOD ONE, not the one from Mexico. >
