Someone asked if the finding meant that Alternaria was responsible for the illness. What I responded is they did IgG antibody test, which means exposure only. It does not mean illness. The illness probably resulted from whatever else was in the environment. That is why I commented the testing was limited. Do not relay on IgG anybodies to determine illness. They can only be interpreted as meaning an exposure has occurred sometime in the past.
