Guest guest
The brain controls eyesight as much as the eye does. You may want to see a neurologist. A scan of the occipital lobe may yield some clues as to what is happening with the eyesight. =) Robynn [ ] Eye issues My eye symptoms are blurry in the morning for about 2 hours after I get up and occasional blurriness during the day. My husband has " floaters " - probably not lyme and blurriness int he am as well. It takes both of us longer to focus on things than, perhaps a year or 2 ago - although my husband's eye problems began before that. Not sure if it could be lyme or anything that I can do anything about - but want to find a good opthomologist to be sure - lyme literate would be great! Guest guest
I don't know if my floaters are due to Lyme or age (I am 62) but here is what helps me: A product made by Puritan's Pride called " Senior Eye Vision " [i have no connection with this company] It contains lutein and bilberry and a host of other vitamins and minerals. When I went to my eye doctor with the floaters (which were intrusive and annoying) he said " There's nothing you can do. It's age " HA! I don't have floaters as long as I take this product. I have stopped for a couple of months just to be sure that this product is useful, and they return. Also since I've started taking this, my night vision has improved a little. I still prefer not to drive at night, but a few years ago, my night vision was so bad, I actually felt I should not drive at night at all. I felt like I could see nothing! It was scary. I noticed this side benefit of " Senior Eye Vision " - some improvement in my night vision. I also used to take a product by Vitamin Research Institute - I forget the name, you can search the site by " vision " - which also was helpful. But it was expensive, and Puritan's Pride always has 2 for 1 specials. best, ellen > > , > > I am responding to your comment about eye issues. I have noticed some of the same things, particularly eye strain and floaters. I started using a 95% colloidal silver/5% DMSO solution to spray in my eyes several times a day. This seems to help a lot. > > deb > >

Some people got rid of them with steroids or antibiotics. There are several types of floaters, probably treatment result depend on the type of problem you have. My floaters appeared as a late Lyme symptom (after ABX treatment), together with the 'flashes' that usually indicate retina detachment. Fortunately the flashes stopped after about a week, but the floater (a big one and a few minor specks) have remained. They are always in the same spot, but moving a bit with eye movements. They seem to be growing slowly and I haven't found anything that helps. It is probably related to the collagen breakdown problems that I have everywhere in my body. Guest guest
My eye problem was mostly photo sensitivity. I do get some floaters, but they are not too bad. I started stephania root and collagen back in September as per Buhner in his book. The photo sensitivity has greatly decreased. I am also on the other core herbs, but have stopped andrographis recently and take ceftin, an abx.
Guest guest
It must be awful having optic neuritis. Do any of you have over sensitivities to colors? I have pain looking at bright colors that's getting worse. Vivid colored paper or neon colors hurt. Nothing was seen on a reg. exam. I better see a medical eye doc. Guest guest
Hi Kathy, Yes! You aren't alone! I had those symptoms too. With re-exposure it comes back sometimes. I hope an eye doc can help you. That wasn't the case for me though. Only CSM, exposure avoidance, & Dr Shoemaker's protocols helped in my case.
