Guest guest
Hey, this was posted to another list im on. Biotin is supposted to help keep yeast in check and may help to prevent candida from transforming into the sysyemic form within the body. http://www.flora-balance.com/Biotin.htm " Yamaguchi reported that extensive mycelial formation of *c. albicans* when grown in a medium with a suboptimal concentration of biotin (0-1 ng/ml) as Compared to primarily yeast cell growth in optimal levels of biotin. " I believe the 5mg biotin is the dose. If you're not on high-dose biotin, start out slowly and work yourself up to 5mg split into at least 3 doses. Some may need more than that, I've heard as much as 20mg total a day. And I believe this form leads to leaky gut. Biotin is produced by the good bacteria in the gut. Biotin can be depleted by too much B5.
Guest guest
Yes, it is true that Biotin is a strong rate limiting factor for the conversion from the dormant phase of the candida fungi, into the active/awake phase. It is prcatically harmless, and can be used in fairly large doses until effect is acheived. Needless to mention, ALL simple sugars must be removed when doing battle with systemic fungal forms. Im new here, so Im sure you all know this already. _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Dana S Sent: Sunday, January 30, 2011 6:58 PM Subject: [] Biotin for candida Hey, this was posted to another list im on.
