Guest guest
I have heard it is good for womens sexual desire. I have also heard it is good for depression. Some studies out there showing fairly good response rate at 90mg per day. DHEA for women? Hi everyone, this is my first post. I'm a 23 year old female with PSSD from taking Paxil and Lexapro. I'm curious about DHEA; I hadn't considered it before because I thought it was a supplement only for men, but I found this article that said it could be helpful for women as well: http://www.womentow omen.com/ adrenalfatigue/ dhea.asp?id=1 & campaignno= adrenalfatigue & adgroup=ag3dhea & keywords= dheaI was wondering if there were any women here who've taken it, and if so, did it work? I'm also rather hesitant to take it because I've heard it can have bad side effects; if I did take it I'd start out at a really low dose. Thanks! Guest guest
I don't know much about dhea and women. it is my understanding that dhea is a precurser hormone to other hormones your body produces. It can be used to make estogen or testosterone amoung other hormones. A good source for information is the Life Extension Foundation. No I don't own stock in it. I do get my dhea there though. There may be better places. I do not know. They do have a good information base though. They are how I found this group. Can't be all bad. Re: DHEA for women? Guest guest
90 mg/day would usually be much too high for women. 12.5 to 25 mg is safer - less chance of side effects.
