Guest guest
Hi, Kiki, Welcome! I'm also pretty new to sprouting, but I believe that once you've stopped the rinse/drain cycles and put your sprouts into the frig, no more rinsing is required. Depending on how much you've sprouted and how long you're planning to keep in the frig, you might want to wrap them in a towel to absorb any moisture they give off. The few times I've had more sprouts than I could use in a day or so, the frig container I put them in got a lot of moisture collected on the lid, just like other greens I buy and attempt to keep for several days in the frig. My solution with those greens is to put a towel in the bag/container with them, so I think it would be similar with sprouts. But someone with more experience sprouting should probably address the " long-term " storage. Andresa > > Hi, I'm new to sprouting. I started for both me and my lovebirds. Guest guest
Just curious. Why would you refrigerate your sprouts at 2 days of growth?. That would have never occurred to me. I grow them for 5 days, put them in my electric salad spinner, they dry PERFECTLY, I put them in ziplock bags, and have NEVER had one bag go bad due to mold or wetness or anything. They key is to get them as dry as possible before refrigerating them. Hope this helps, Melody > > > > Hi, I'm new to sprouting. I started for both me and my lovebirds.
