Guest guest
I just read that broccoli sprouts or any of that family like cauliflower or cabbage, etc. are especially good for anti-cancer fighting in breast cancer. Losing weight is also a positive factor, even 10 lbs less. Carolyn Wilkerson  ________________________________ To: sproutpeople Sent: Sunday, July 1, 2012 1:15 PM Subject: Update Re: Look at the price of broccoli seeds  Todd's and BuyWholesale are the same place - same address. Guest guest
I don't care too much for radishes as they are too strong for me, but the radish sprouts are so good as they are a bit more mild and yum, they give just the tiniest bite. I haven't tried the fenugeek so that I know what it tastes like. I had the broccoli in some sprouts but didn't recognize the taste. I need to taste them separately to be sure my broccoli is sprouting okay when it is in a mixture. I have a 3 seed mixture and a 5 seed mixture and I liked them both. I've done alfalfa by itself but not the others. Glory Be!! And I've discovered a seed combination that I like to make and they taste fabulous. Broccoli Radish Fenugree. I made a batch and harvested them today. Had a sprout salad. FABULOUS!!! with tomatoes, sliced avocadoes and some grilled chicken. I even allowed myself 5 croutons. lol A little splash of Extra virgin olive oil. The radish REALLY added a kick to the blend. I got them on ebay. Great deal on the radish. Melody > > > > > > > > Just found this on Ebay. It's from Todd's Seeds. Guest guest
Caroyln, regular radishes may be too strong for you, but I suggest you try Daikon radish. The taste is very mild (almost like an apple). I grate 2 cups worth of Daikon radish, add a handfull of dill (it sounds like a lot, but it really makes the dish), juice of 1/2 lemon, a good glug of your favorite oil, and salt and pepper to taste. Enjoy. For a variation, I will also add chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans and almonds) and pomegranate seeds. Amazing! Once you try it, you'll be hooked! If you use this as a base, there are so many variations you can use to vary the taste and texture. You can thank me later Don

Guest guest
Don, are the Daikon  radishes cooked or raw? Is this a salad in itself or is salad added? It had a lot of oil but no vinegar though it has dill. Guess lemon is instead of vinegar and that works.  Sounds interesting. I've never eaten a Pomegrante.  I have had the juice. I do like the radish sprouts. They are much milder than radishes that are grown.  This sounds very interesting. I like nuts too. But I can't quite figure out if this is a salad or a side dish of radishes. I'm thinking this is a salad of just Daikon radishes with he dill and dressing and maybe nuts and possibly Pomegrante seeds. I once saw it on tv with taking out some of the Pomegrante seeds but still don't have an idea of the taste. I will look for Daikon. My dill didn't grow in my Aerogarden so will have to try that again. I can get it from the grocery though. Thank you for suggesting this. I'll try it. Just sort of fill me in as I'm expecting that it has no lettuce in it and just the radishes as the only veggie. I would never have thought of just eating radishes as the main part of a salad. Scary in a way. I haven't used Daikon radishes either though and always good to try new things. Carolyn Wilkerson  ________________________________ To: " sproutpeople " <sproutpeople > Sent: Thursday, July 5, 2012 1:46 AM Subject: Re: Update Re: Look at the price of broccoli seeds  Caroyln, regular radishes may be too strong for you, but I suggest you try Daikon radish.
