Guest guest
I know this isn't directed at me, but just go ahead and have him grout the seams. Your gut feeling is probably right and dont' worry if you think contractor knows because they don't worry about it. If not needed, you added something extra. > > New shower with a ledge to put shampoo, soap, etc on. the seam beneath the tiles used to face the ledge are not sealed to the tile beneath. The facing tiles are about two inches and the tiles underneath but up to them. No grout and nto a tight groutless seam. > > This seems to be a potential problem to me unless cement board doe does not mold, but then having any seam where any mositure can eventually get into a shower wall does not seem right. > > This is a no brainer, right? Contractor I think already thinks I am a nut. > > Does concrete board not mold? I would be relieved if not but still think this should be grouted. > > We are thiking to get a moisture meter and measure to make sure moisture has not already goten in there.. any thoughts on how to proceed? > > Thanks.. > > Robin >
