Guest guest
I guess the best way to put it is this: I have NO IDEA what I'm reacting to, but I call it a contamination because it spread throughout the house and was getting on all our clothes (which were previously fine) every time I washed them (this was before the vodka incident) and it was NOT due to the detergent (tested that). I wish I knew what it was, or what combo, because perhaps that would help know how to deal. The reason I assume mycotoxins is when I lived in a toxic mold house - my experience was that everything cross contaminated very easily and I lost my car etc. With fragrances and chems and other contamination, I find that the one exposed object gets contaminated but it doesn't " spread " so easily, washes out instead of sticks in the washer, clothes can be cleaned and it doesn't stick in clothes (I washed my clothes at a friend's and they were still bad), and I don't get the " crazies " from other things -- I literally get a specific area that feels inflamed in my head when around mold toxins. That said, of course things like bacteria, etc impact the situation and I'm not saying it's just one thing (it can't be after the science project I just created) -- I'm sure I'm reacting to vodka residue, too (although it's been a week), but what was there BEFORE that, caused the same headache before and after (but now it's worse), and spreads? In my experience, that seems mold related. But I know, as always, I can be way wrong. And I'd LOVE IT if it weren't mold! I actually had a big ammonia residue spreading experience a year ago so maybe it's that? You never know...i just need help getting rid of it. So - open all windows or let things be still and settle and wipe down again? Wipe down with what? Air filters or not? hot or cold temp? Any help welcome. Guest guest
The washer: Is it a plastic basin, porcelain, steel ?? The Dryer is that new too ? VOC's from washer can spread to all parts of the home . Until it stops off-gassing. It can cause you inflammation too. You maybe dealing with more than one thing. God Bless !! dragonflymcs Mayleen ________________________________ From: " Jsverdlove@... Guest guest
yes, hard to tell you what to do, if it's the washer and dryer and you can put them outside, in garage or something that is probably a good idea, take them back to where you bought them and get your money back, maybe try a different brand or a front loader. if the washer is empty and you can here water sloching around somewhere in there by tipping the machine, get rid of it. if opening the windows is a option, try it, put fans in , some blowing in , some out, get the air cirulating good, if the air is what you consider good outside. if not, maybe get some good filters and attach them to your fans and set them around in different places. charcoal may help, cleaning, ect. hard to say, hope something helps you. do you wash your sinuses, sometimes residues of some things can get trapped in there and everything smells like that but it's really just your sinuses and that can cause some headackes. one thing I do sometimes is lay on my side and squirt the solution into that side, let it soak a few seconds than left up a little and blow it out. repeat a few times, do the other side. you have to have your head level to a little tilted where the top of your head is a little lower than the chin so it doesn't just run back out. hope you get to felling better. > > The washer: Is it a plastic basin, porcelain, steel ?? Guest guest
Don't get a front loader!!! They are notorious for mold! And you didn't say whether the washer/dryer were new because if they are then offgassing may be the issue. If they are over a year old already I'd bet on the tiny bit of mold in the machine. Is it possible that washers are the new A/C? By that I mean, ac's are well known to get moldy and no one here hasn't had the experience but what if washers are the next technology to go bad for us? I'm not expressing myself well, I know, but I think moldy washers are going to be the new next thing. I just got rid of a brand new one because I couldn't find the mold in it and it wouldn't wash out. Now I feel (like everything else in my life) that the washer is just a ticking time bomb waiting to explode again. > > yes, hard to tell you what to do, if it's the washer and dryer and you can put them outside, in garage or something that is probably a good idea, take them back to where you bought them and get your money back, maybe try a different brand or a front loader. > if the washer is empty and you can here water sloching around somewhere in there by tipping the machine, get rid of it. > if opening the windows is a option, try it, put fans in , some blowing in , some out, get the air cirulating good, if the air is what you consider good outside. Guest guest
actually, one of the first things I said was that they may be offgassing new smells, they are new. I think alot depends on the brand and how well they are put together, everything is more exspencive these days and not built as good. > > Don't get a front loader!!! They are notorious for mold!
