Guest guest
Corky, here's some stuff I found a while back. There's much more out there but it's a weeding process as many sites sell EMF-protective devices. A sensitive friend of mine was helped wearing something called a polarizer. Bizarre - it's just a small piece of copper in a small sealed plastic box. This site on Electrohypersensitivity looks official. http://www.electrosensitivity.org/ They recommend products from here. http://www.lessemf.com/personal.html I have a piece of copper wire about 40 inches long. It has 6 wires twisted together & all together it's about the thickness of a pencil. I had it with me on the road because it helped when I was very emf when I had gotten a bad exposure from a neighbor's fireplace burning in NY. The more exposures I get the more emf I get. This site talks about that connection. http://www.emrsafety.8m.net/newbook.htm I found holding the copper wire I have in my right hand is what works. It didn't work if I tried to strap it on me anywhere. I wedged it in my window recently where the EMFs come from passing cars. I think I felt better afterwards but I'm not sure. The cars around here have something extra powerful in them. It broke my GPS one day when I was driving & I heard the waves come in my truck. The airplanes used to affect my GPS too. Today I felt really bad after being on the cellphone for a long time so I put my hand around the copper wire in the window & I really felt better. 14 guage wire is always reccommended but bending it isn't easy. I may try to make some nice copper coils out of very thin copper & just coil a bunch together. I looked at the devices recommended on this site http://www.electrical-sensitivity.info/HealingAids4.html & some of them could be made yourself. This site sells bare copper from 10 to 26 guage. For more sizes look under Jewelry Wire & then Artistic Wire. http://beadstore.wigjig.com/jewelry_wire/artwire_10to14g/14g_bare_copper_25%60_b\ ag/Page_2/0515.html They also have a ton of instructions on how to make wire jewelry. It may be a good hobby to keep the EMFs away. When I play with copper I feel soothed - in a more profound way than the calming affect of doing a craft. I am wondering if if would still work if the copper is coated. I have a tendancy to be high in copper so I thought about using this one so I don't absorb copper. http://www.jewelrybeadsandfindings.com/238795.html I wonder if copper levels in the body have anything to do with being EMF sensitive. Here's some info on copper toxicity. http://www.drlwilson.com/articles/copper_toxicity_syndrome.htm Actually I read that silver is a better electrical conductor than copper. I don't know why copper is what is always recommended to protect against EMF. In a book on CranioSacral therapy I read about putting a metal pipe in the ground to ground it & attaching a copper wire to that & then holding the copper wire or wrapping it around your waist or bed. I also read you can wear a 10 guage copper wire around your waist & fasten it with a rubber band. This site talks about supplements & a special device, the PAP IMI, that has been effective at reducing EMF sensitivity. http://www.papimi.gr/cases/ockerman/ockerman2.htm PAP IMI & antioxidants
Guest guest
There is ample evidence that wifi is disruptive to our bodies and minds. Why do you have an iPad, I know it's a cool new technology, but even if you are healthy, wifi is tough on your system. Cell phones--keep turned off, use only in emergencies..... wifi--switch to wired internet access and disable the wireless in your home and in your computer settings. cordless phones--get rid of them, use a corded phone. video game controllers--switch to wired controllers and minimize usage as they still have wireless in the consoles and I haven't found anyone who knows how to disable. computers--switch to ones that offer wired internet, not the newer smaller sleeker devices that are wifi only.. smart meters--put up refusal signs, lock boxes on your regular meters, and if you already have smart meter make sure you aren't sleeping on the other side of that wall, get involved and try to get smart meters out of your town. many people getting sick in many ways from electrosmog... see W.E.E.P., emfsafteynetwork.org and more. best, sue v. >Does anyone else have emf sensitivity? Guest guest
Same thing has been happening to me when I am near so many things, bad taste immediately in my mouth, headache and the other symptoms when I bend down at the DVD to remove a tape or disc (face right up against the 5 yo TV), when I use my digital camera, and lately when I put baking soda in the washer or clean with it. ....Corky -------- Does anyone else have emf sensitivity? Guest guest
The past few days I've been having that same metallic taste in my mouth as well. Im hoping it's caused by chemicals and not mold. Corky are you still living in a WDB? > > Does anyone else have emf sensitivity? Im getting bothered by my phone and ipad very quickly. Guest guest
What's WBD? I am not familiar with all the abbreviations. ....Corky From: Tug <tug_slug@...> Subject: [] Re: Emf sensitivity Date: Sunday, January 2, 2011, 12:28 PM The past few days I've been having that same metallic taste in my mouth as well. Guest guest
I remember the first time I used a cellphone for a regular length conversation and my ear started to get hot. That's when I figured this wasn't a healthy thing. I have one still but I pay only $5-10 a month using a prepaid card plan for it and use it for emergencies only. I use it on speaker function and the conversations are very short and to the point. > > Thanks Carl for always taking the time out to answer when you have knowledge on a subject. I try as much as possible to use corded phones. Once when i used the cordless phone here i became very tired and nauseous but i have been ok on shorter conversations or other cordless phones. The burn to my face from the ipad is starting to happen very quickly now. Im going to have to try and use the laptop more often. There are two laptops here and one seems better than the other for chemicals so i'll see how that goes with extended usage. > > Thanks again >
