Hi Sam,

Thought you would find this link very helpful.

address this with our crawl space. Really appreciate it. It is frustrating that

there seem to be no real standard. Is there a company that makes a 1 rated vapor

barrier that you trust from prior experience with your clients?

> One other question--- is there ever problems with these vapor barriers

off-gassing into the house above? We had a pitch from a remediation company that

wanted to use one of those crawl space encapsulation set-ups. It stunk like a

bad pool liner smell.

You can go to building science.com click a link on left " Homeowner Resources " .

This is the direct link to " homeowners Resources " if it works.

http://www.buildingscience.com/resources/homeowner_resources

On that page is list of articles. The link I posted was for " New Light In

Crawlspaces " .

Their articles are great. I'm reading up a storm. I still don't know how to

construct a frame ! but am getting well versed on the details of water

management. Just about all their articles address water & the the failures of

the old way of doing it.
