Guest guest
Hi Sam, Thought you would find this link very helpful. http://www.buildingscience.com/documents/insights/bsi-009-new-light-in-crawlspac\ es/?topic=/resources/mold > > Thanks very much Carl for all this information. At some point we will have to address this with our crawl space. Really appreciate it. It is frustrating that there seem to be no real standard. Is there a company that makes a 1 rated vapor barrier that you trust from prior experience with your clients? > One other question--- is there ever problems with these vapor barriers off-gassing into the house above? We had a pitch from a remediation company that wanted to use one of those crawl space encapsulation set-ups. It stunk like a bad pool liner smell. > Thanks again as always,Sam >
Guest guest
You can go to building science.com click a link on left " Homeowner Resources " . This is the direct link to " homeowners Resources " if it works. http://www.buildingscience.com/resources/homeowner_resources On that page is list of articles. The link I posted was for " New Light In Crawlspaces " . Their articles are great. I'm reading up a storm. I still don't know how to construct a frame ! but am getting well versed on the details of water management. Just about all their articles address water & the the failures of the old way of doing it. > > Hi Sam, > > Thought you would find this link very helpful. > > > http://www.buildingscience.com/documents/insights/bsi-009-new-light-in-crawlspac\ es/?topic=/resources/mold > > >
