Guest guest
I forgot to say, in my last posting about the use of the Neilmed bottle, that you should never mix any formula of your own making, using salt of ANY kind, as your mixture will NOT be " buffered " to the proper " Ph " level, to avoid burning your nasal membranes and sinuses. Also, THIS WARNING appears on the Neilmed website: CAUTION: Rinsing your nasal passages with only PLAIN WATER will result in a severe burning sensation. Please do not rinse with plain water. The Neilmed product packets are relatively inexpensive. They are available in most chain drug stores, and online at: www.neilmed.com One last warning. When shaking up the packet medicine in lukewarm water, place one finger over the hole at the top of the bottle, to avoid splashing the bottle contents all over the bathroom. Guest guest
Joe, theres other ways to wash your sinuses, gently, because useing alot of pressure might not be such a great idea with damage up in there. I think a neti pot works while for that. the trick is to lean over the sink and turn your head to the side that you are washing out. you can even lay on your side with a towel handy and let itsoak for a few seconds than left up and let it drain out. than lay on the other side. > > > > Also, THIS WARNING appears on the Neilmed website: > > > > CAUTION: Rinsing your nasal passages with only PLAIN WATER will result in a severe burning sensation.
