Guest guest
Sally I agree & I try hard to redirect my moods always. Of course some exposures give me instant depression & negative thinking but I am getting better at distractiong myself. This past winter I read an uplifting book over & over - Things Are Going Great In My Absence by Lola . It is somewhat " religious " as it references the existance of of a God. Another good one is Conversations With God. A non-religious version is Your Mind The Magician. All give you a lift - a feeling that you have control over your life's course. NFI Just ignore my Pollyanna ways; I guess > I'm stuck with a personality that innately gravitates > toward wearing rose-colored glasses. I like the view so much better than what > could be the alternative.  > > > Good thoughts and many prayers to you, Tug, > > sally
Guest guest
Oh, I have this as well... not pollyanna.. the opposite. I was and have always been in the role of saving people and having to deal with reality while everyone else takes a hike from the pain and situation. Illness and trauma bring up all kinds of realities and eventually you get to the point to where you question what is serving you and what is not.. I am and its a never ending process. Lots of thinking, mindset to reconsider. Physically, so far dust and chemicals ahve been triggers.. sinuses and brain inflames and then the hard hitting depression that is so hard to break out of and catatonic like states where I am stuck in limbo in my brain. Its scary. NO thinking out of these usually. No quick fix. I can think with this darkness though and have realized it goes much deeper when I do.. so I try not to feed it. I need all the help I can get not to go further into the depression. It helps me to continunally feed this need with music and books even when not depressed. My fav is snatum kaur's mantra songs which are so beautiful, You Cant Afford the Luxury of a Neg Thougt by Mc.. straight forward not fluffy.. reality based thinking during chronic or life threatengin illness, and lots of books on quantum reality like The Field and The Intention Experiments by Lynne McTaggart, The Biology of Belief and The Wisdom of Your Cells by Bruce Lipton... it is more than the body and the body is more complexly miraculous than we can scientifically pinpoint today but we are getting there. Radical Forgiveness by Collin Tipping helps with dealing with the emotional traumas that come up form the past regarding people... and illness has brought a lot of this up for me.
