Guest guest
I've made a lot of smoothies in it. Most were fruit and yogurt and ice but a few were green smoothies. I have had my vitamix recipe books lost for a long time and think I may still have them somewhere but not sure where. I have a cottage in AR where we were going to spend a half year and a half year in FL, but we like FL better. The place in AR is in the woods and has a deer trail behind it and is interesting to sit at table and look out and watch the deer. Have to be careful at night as deer are along the road, esp. at dusk. Place there has too much in it. Next time we go I'm going to bring back my breadmaker and look for the vitamix recipe books. Have to geet someout out to replace a ceiling and maybe some major work as one part of roof leaked when we ere there before and my hubby wanted to go home (he had been sick and had a staph infection and cellulitis) so we only stayed long enough to have roof replaced on that section. We didn't stay long enough to repair the ceiling inside and who knows if we have mildew in there now because of the leak. It is a little square box with 2 BR, 2 baths and no real dining room other than a wide hallway near the kitchen and back door. Does have a little den for an office and a small living room. Has one house near ours and others are around some bends. We put out corn for the deer when we are there, as does the neighbor and take photos. No deck on the back as the neighbor has. He sits out and takes photos of the deer. He has seen foxes and dogs there and chased off a dog that was after a deer.  It is a beautiful state but it is far from shops and stores and is hilly. If it didn't have so many mosquitoes and the distance we'd love it there. We haven't even seen the fall there and it has to be lovely. We don't get a lot of sun as we are surrounded by trees. Hard to get us out of FL anymore. Have a mobile home here and we have too much stuff here too. I like to do crafts and have flowers and now sprouts and veggies, etc. If I were in the shape I was in 15 years ago i'd have it whipped into shape. I painted the cabinets in AR in lime green, and a shrimpy orange and the walls yellow with a streak of red at the top and put rainbow trout ceramic handles on the cabinets. Sounds weird b but it is really cute. I painted chairs to match the colors and they have finials, etc. I wanted a table to match but never found one. May have to get something stronger than those chairs now. Sorry reminiscing. Carolyn Wilkerson  ________________________________ To: sproutpeople Sent: Monday, June 18, 2012 4:47 AM Subject: Re:vitamix icecream, sorbet & soup  Carolyn I was surprised when I read you had not tried these in Vitamix. They are all easy and delicious!!! Not sure surprised is the right word but you are such a fount of information that it just seemed like you would be adventurous... Debbie in NJ > > I never used the vitamix to make icecream or soup. I did get an incecream maker and can make sorbet though haven't yet. I have made icecream. I try to keep sugar a bit low. I guess I should try to get me a new cookbook for vitamix. I have a little cottage in AR and it might be there. I am thinking that I still had it somewhere. So much was gotten rid of when I cleaned out the sheds. I always think of yogurt as healthy but I didn't use greek yogurt and i don't make it myself. I have heard that is not too complicated though. I nevermade soup either. I think I tried it once and it was blah. Guess depends on herbs and also what you put in it. > > > Carolyn Wilkerson > > >
