Guest guest
Hi Amy, thanks for the suggestion, i was considering home schooling a couple years ago and my son didn't want that, and now he wants it even less, he wants to go to high school, just he wants to go to a high school he's excited about, not the local one down the street....all of them have building safety issues, as do most buildings, I just have to try and guess which " poison " is the worst for him.... that said, i'll google homeschooling in our area and see what i come up with for teens... sue >Hi Sue, > >This may not work for you or your son, but I thought I'd mention that we >homeschool. My girls are 3rd grade and below, though, so there are >different issues with teens. >
Guest guest
HI , Thanks for your suggestion, in the end there is not time to do this, school starts in a couple weeks, the public schools are so busy they don't even have time to give you a full tour right now, i will probably just let him go where he wants to go and hope for the best, dangers are lurking out there in every corner but I have to let the kid live his life. His psyche is already permanently damaged by my fears and knowledge of everything in modern life and he begs me to stop telling him about anything new I learn about our horrible food supply, water supply, chemicals in our daily lives, emfs, etc etc, he wants to be ignorantly blissful like everyone else out there, it's hard for me to turn it off as i have learned so much in my quest to try and heal my other kid... btw, he is not sick, doesn't have allergies, etc. my other kid is flat on his back though, we all were exposed and for the kids entire lives to hidden mold in our house and all have high levels of mycotoxins per realtime labs. I want to tell you that I disagree with you about the emfs, the science is very biased in this area, like in most, towards commercial interests. If you look at cell phone safety studies funded by industry, there is no risk (and this parallels what happens in the pharma industry--drug trials funded by big pharma by and large come out with results favorable to big pharma), if you look at cell phone safety studies that are independently funded, the results are much more alarming. In some countries cell phones are not allowed to be used by kids....and more....in some places in europe they are yanking wifi from public libraries, there is at least one md who built a medical clinic that is shielded from emfs because he believes they interfere w/healing.... I was in Dallas at Dr. Rea's clinic this spring and his annual environmental health symposium was on the health impacts of emfs including cell phones, wifi, dirty electricity....the doctors and scientists at this symposium believe that the massive and ever increasing emf exposures will result in an epidemic exponentially greater than anything previously seen with other environmental toxins (chemicals, etc.).... Everyday I met patients at Dr. Rea's clinic who are emf sensitive, first they get a mold or chemical exposure, and when their immune system weakens enuf, then they become emf sensitive. Read the following: Wireless Radiation Rescue by Kerry Crofton PhD, Dirty Electricity by Sam Milham, there is also a new book by Devra on cell phones, she is an epidemiologist who wrote a book called The SEcret History of the War on Cancer, very enlightening, and about how chemicals and toxic exposures are behind most cancers, this is now becoming a more acceptable viewpoint with the presidents scientific panel recently saying the same thing. Also, there is a group called emfrefugee, check it out, people are getting sick from these invisible rays, we mostly can't avoid them, but we don't need to go out of our way to be in the center of a wifi field all day long...that's what the school is.... also, if not yet available, the symposium booklet/tapes will be available for purchase from teh american environmental health foundation. btw, my older son with the serious chronic health issues " fell apart " the year that he was going to school in a wireless school building and this was before every neighbor had wifi but was also during the time when more and more cell towers and masts were going up so the density of that form of electrosmog was increasing.... Is this the cause of all his health problems, surely not, but likely another factor that weakended his system and threw it farther out of whack. Thanks, Suea >Sue, I recommend you do what I do for certain projects. Create a >priority list of needs - include exposures you want to avoid most (based >on presence of the actual hazard plus risk of actual exposure), and >include those things you really want (like something positive). >Of course, your list must include the known triggers - e.g., if he has a >known allergy, control of that would be high, of course. >Create also a way to rate these items on likelihood of them being found >in any school! some may not be realistic because of cost, occurence, >knowldge, etc.
