Guest guest
Hi Aimee, I read your posting on the Sickbuildings Group. You are being murdered by your home. Only a handfull of doctors in this country can help you. You can never recover while you stay in your home. The Mayo Clinic, like most conventional medical establishments, does not recognize that toxic mold can kill. At a certain point in your exposure to toxic mold, the damage that has already been done to your body becomes irreversible, and you NEVER will be able to recover your health. That exposure period is different for each person, depending on your body's genetics, and the extent of, and duration of, your mold exposure. My father died from mold exposure in October, 2008. When you are permanently out of your home, your mind will clear up enough, within weeks, to think clearly enough to make long-term medical, and legal decisions. Once you are out of your home, all it takes is a 5 minute re-exposure to your home, to wipe out all your recovery up to that time of your re-visit to the moldy home, and you will re-experience, for a very long time, the same intensity of illness that it took months of exposure to produce in your original exposure. Get out of your house immediately, to save your life. Don't take anything from your moldy home, with you, when you leave. My father didn't leave the source of his mold exposure, in time. He is DEAD. Leave now! RUN-RUN-RUN-RUN. God Bless, Joe
Guest guest
Hi Aimee, Thanks for your kind words. You will find many people on the Sickbuildings board who have lost a loved one to mold exposure. You will find even more people who have stayed too long in a moldy environment, and are now suffering from terrible illnesses, which can never be cured, or reversed. The way death comes, is through what is medically referrred to as a " cascading effect " . First, the victim develops an illness which is easily traced back to mold exposure, by themselves or close observers. That initial illness sometimes passes, and the patient starts feeling better, until the next episode of mold exposure in their life. Then, that initial illness [different in different people] predisposes the sufferer to reacting to other things, such as chemicals, which were never a problem before, and leads to the patient developing an additional illness, concurrently. Then the two illnesses lead to [ " cascade " ] a third illness, and so on. Until the " CAUSE OF DEATH " which is written on the death certificate is usually something which was brought on by multiple body system failures, such as " heart attack " or " stroke " or " heart failure " . These " death certificate " illnesses are what is medically referred to as the " immediate " cause of death. The " immediate " cause of death never gives any indication as to what weakened the person so much, that he/she arrived at the " immediate " cause of death. Only the loved ones of the deceased, who followed the deterioration of the health of their loved one, are the only witnesses who have seen the entire picture, and remember a time, BEFORE their loved one's mold exposure. There are very few illnesses where, if you are aware of the death-causing potential of a causative factor, you can observe the entire sequence of events, from first episode of illness, through the course of " cascading " subsequent illnesses, to eventual, and ultimate, death. Toxic mold exposure is one of those few " trackable " illnesses. With each new body system failure, my father received the best treatment to stabilize the particular body system which had failed. Heart, Lungs, Nervous System, Brain, etc. Since my father ignored my mold warnings for two years, each organ of his body eventually " remodeled " [medical term], meaning the structural damage to each organ became irreversible. I was at his bedside, in the hospital intensive care unit, when he passed away. I'm sorry that I had to be so graphic, in my description. But, you will have to hold these images in your mind, during many sessions with doctors who will tell you that there is no evidence that toxic mold can kill. As my father refused to accept, until too late, that mold was killing him, he was never treated for mold exposure by any doctor. My own mold exposures were so much more acute and intense than my father's [ie: non-stop blood flowing from my nose for days] that I immediately suspected mold, and I found the massive mold infestations, upon inspection of the building [initial exposure]. I RAN-RAN-RAN-RAN so fast, that, since my initial toxic mold exposure was for only one month, I began recovering within 2 weeks, and was almost fully recovered within 2 months, before I had the opportunity to search out a " mold " doctor. Those members of our Sickbuildings Group who have used the professional services of doctors, to help them recover from their mold exposures, would be your best source of advice, in helping you choose a medical professional. But, please remember, that all legitimate medical professionals will confirm my warning to you, that NO MEDICAL TREATMENT WILL HELP YOU, as long as you continue to live, or work, in a moldy environment, while you are receiving the medical treatment. It may seem odd to hear it, but an extreme mold reaction is better than a moderate mold reaction, in that it speeded up the process of my recognition of the danger, and prompted my speedy reaction to RUN-RUN-RUN-RUN away from the source of mold. So, to you, and ALL my mold buddies, please RUN-RUN-RUN-RUN. God Bless, Joe ............................................................ I'm so sorry to hear your father passed away. Can I ask--was it his lungs? Did he get treatment before and it failed? Where do I go for medical help? I'm so sorry. Thank you for your reply! Guest guest
Joe! You explained the " cascading effect " beautifully. I'm so sorry that you lost your father, and I understand your position about a severe reaction being--in some ways, at least--better than a chronic, less recognizable one. My own family and friends can also track my exposures--in two different workplaces. Although I tried to be relocated and for years warned of my response to the office air/lack of ventilation, my concerns were either minimized or mocked. So grateful for this site and the folks who exchange knowledge and experience. Oh, Dr. Janette Hope--in Santa Barbara, CA, is a fabulous doctor who treats individuals for exposure. I discovered her through Dr. Thrasher. There are others, as well, and folks here can share that information. Prior to treating the cause, I was being treated for heart failure, emphysema, immune system reactivity, on and on...with no effective interventions.  Your words of caution are correct, in that removing the environment of toxins and yourself from the cause of mold is critical; no amount of even appropriate, effective treatment can overcome the constant re-exposure that occurs when folks stay in the " sick " environment. Hope the mention of this doctor may help folks new to this site; it seems that there are numerous people lately--grappling to find treatment and support. Dr. Thrasher possesses a wealth of information and is generous in sharing it!  Every person's response seems unique, however, so site readers should keep that in mind. We are unique both in our susceptibility and our reactions--it seems to me! Again, sympathies for the loss of your dad!  Good thoughts, sally  ________________________________ From: Joe Salowitz <josephsalowitz@...> < > Sent: Tue, August 10, 2010 8:21:35 PM Subject: [] Re: Leaving a sick building, trying to get help, legal and medical  Hi Aimee,  Thanks for your kind words.
