Guest guest
Yes, I barely have a cooling unit and it is still hot. I cannot go out during the heat now, just cannot handle it.  I am on 02.   God Bless !! dragonflymcs Mayleen ________________________________ From: osisposis <jeaninem660@...> Sent: Fri, August 13, 2010 10:09:05 PM Subject: [] useing AC  I have a problem with heat now, my face becomes red, I get weak and drained. for some liveing without AC could be harmful. Guest guest
The heat bothers me too-- get very weak/drained. Even with my running the AC and ceiling fans, sometimes I put a wet cloth over my eyes and my ice pack over my knees and that seems to cool me down. Another things that cools-- take a shower and stand in front of a small fan with no clothes on. When I was young, in the summer & no AC then, I would put my biking bathing suit on, get wet in the shower frequently, even put ice cubes in my bikini. Back east, the last 6 weeks of summer were the most miserable. For the weakness, making apple, watermelon, or carrot juice helps with the weakness. (I have a juicer) ________________________________ From: osisposis jeaninem660@... Guest guest
I don't know if subject is car or house a/c but if house, a strong dehumidifier can make heat more comfortable/tolerable/even nice. However a dehumidifier can get moldy too. As I have already mentioned I got the Thermador or Therastor Sante Fe and can set a/c to 78 or evem 79 which allows you to use a/c alot less but still you need to keep a/c very clean. I can get away without using any ac in car by opening windows. I know it lets dirt into car though but that has never bothered me at all, but then that's me. Even before this illness, I always preferred open windows to a/c. Perhaps you could tolerate it with arranging for lower/low humidity or more air movement or similar. I know whole house fans really help homes to cool off but then they creat low pressure inside house so if house has any trouble in wall cavities could pull it into house. If house is healthy, wonder if whole house fans are reasonable alternative to a/c. Of course then you pull air into house probably through 'random' openings in house and that may not be good. Perhaps an expert here has an opinon on whole house fans? Yes, keeping well hydrated is important to tolerating the heat and if you drink plenty of fluids it's possible the sweating heat causes might be good for you, ie. dedtox. I think we sweat too little now days because we are less physically active. That maybe why we hold toxins inside us more than when we are agricultural based society. All that physical work and the sweat that went with it, probably natural regular, daily detox through most desireable way. My doctor said his healthiest patient are those that exercise regularly. Maybe a connection there that sweating is protective. > > The heat bothers me too-- get very weak/drained. Even with my running the AC > and ceiling fans, sometimes I put a wet cloth over my eyes and my ice pack over > my knees and that seems to cool me down. Another things that cools-- take a > shower and stand in front of a small fan with no clothes on. When I was young, > in the summer & no AC then, I would put my biking bathing suit on, get wet in > the shower frequently, even put ice cubes in my bikini. Back east, the last 6 > weeks of summer were the most miserable. > > For the weakness, making apple, watermelon, or carrot juice helps with the > weakness. (I have a juicer) > >
Guest guest
We ran the a/c three times this summer and even though its been as hot has it has been I've become used to it. I do get a little uncomfortable now that Im sleeping in the bedroom upstairs because of the heat but with the fan on and the windows open it really isnt that bad. During the early morning hours all the windows are open so were getting a nice cool cross wind but as it gets warmer I close all the windows and blinds which helps keep the house much cooler.
