Guest guest
The mold remediation company that botched remediation after the first attempt went back a second time and " fogged " the condo but failed to remove all the mold in the crawl space. By the time they fogged and tried to make it habitable it was to late i was to sick to move back. sorry wish i could be of more help > > There are several products on the market which are fogged in the home to kill and neutralize mold. Big claims, but few answers to my questions. Has anyone had a fogging product used in their remediation? Guest guest
I was sensitized to bioaerosol from a dirty old inadequately functioning air conditioner in my workplace. A cleaning company which advertised itself as an IAQ expert was called in. They opened the HVAC, vacuumed what they could, and fogged it with Oxine, a trademarked water solution of chlorine dioxide. They removed none of the black fiberglass insulation inside. For a few months afterward it was fine. Eventually the same company was called in to again address the same smelly problem. They did the same thing. Continued exposure had increased my sensitivity. The treatment was only effective about two weeks for me, though most people didn't notice a mold smell until about two months. As Carl Grimes, Jeff May, and Dr. Thrasher have said, if you can't get away from the mold, you must remove the mold and the reason it is growing, namely a moisture problem. Failure to do so only postpones the inevitable. Dirty wet conditions will always grow mold. You can kill it, but if the dirt and moisture remain, it will always come back. I suspect that fogging a place after thorough cleanup and elimination of moisture problems might be effective. But then again, if the problems are corrected, there shouldn't be any need to fog anything. Gil Know anything about mold fogging products?
