Guest guest
The website doesn't tell us much about them or the procedures. Actually, it says nothing. Except this: " we are always looking for good people to join our company. Experience is not necessary " You decide what this means. (I've made up my mind) > > Hi there. I'm pretty new here. However, if an actual test is recommended, the cost is $275! Ouch. Is this pretty standard for testing? > > I live in a mobile home as a renter and my landlord is pretty much a slum-lord, she won't fix anything. I've been concerned about the leaks in the roof she won't fix and feel I really should find out for myself if the leaks are creating a toxic situation. Moving would be a huge deal for me and this place is ideal for me in many ways that I wouldn't be able to find almost anywhere else. So if there isn't a toxic or black mold problem from the leaks I think I would rather stay. > > Any help you can provide would be much appreciated, > > B. - San Diego, California >
Guest guest
Hi , Why waste money on tests when you already know you have a problem? I suspect you are not yet sick and wonder if you only have " non-toxic " or " toxic " molds. If you have water problems, you have mold. Exposure to any mold over sufficiently long time will lead to illness or allergy problems, whether the mold produces toxins or not. Many people on this board have toxicity symptoms, while others, like me, have asthma or other hypersensitivity issues, commonly RADS, reactive airway dysfunction syndrome. Many have exacerbation of symptoms not only from mold, but also from many items encountered every day, like deodorants, hair spray (not just when being sprayed, but after it has been on someone 8 hours or more), fragrance compounds, laundry detergent and fabric softeners, tobacco smoke, even smoke from birthday candles or cooking. Most of us remember when our symptoms started and how we tried to ignore them, because they weren't too bad yet. And most of us wish we had paid better attention to those warnings and gotten out of the problem inducing situation and maintained our health. If you don't want to move, spend your own money to fix the problems. You will be paying now, or later with your health. New here: Anyone heard of Mold Test USA?
