Haven't vaccinated youngest who is autistic and pediatrician group is fairly

understanding. Didn't vaccinate older child when she turned 12 as she has

asthma, idiopathic anaphylaxis (ER twice for throat closing up, hives and

swelling, but docs couldn't find trigger) and showed a high ana on blood work

when 11 (1:640 homogenous). Told to take her to Rhuematology, but they said no

need to do anything then. Get a little grief from peds about not vaccinating,

but can handle it. Now daughter wants to go to summer camp in NY which requires

update vaccinations. So conflicted. This camp is her dream (musical theatre)

so I want her to go as well, but troubled with further vaccinations. Am working

on determining what causes her anaphylaxis and may have pinpointed trigger as

Polysorbate 80. One bite of a Klondike bar was her last trip to the ER. We eat

mostly organic and very little processed food. Polysorbate 80 is in Boostrix

Tdap and may or may not be in Adacel. Additionally, I am worried about the

aluminum and the affect on her ana antibodies. She has had some inflammation

from time to time, but we see an Applied Kinseologist to help with that. I

don't want to send her immune system over the edge. Plus, Tdap still has mercury

which is of great concern. Two questions: (1) Does anyone know if NY law

allows me to use the religious objection at the camp or can I use a medical

exemption if the pediatrician will back my concerns? and (2) what other concerns

should I have re: Tdap? Will not give Gardisil or Mennococcal, but they are not

required. Thanks for any insights, Kay Berry

the whole vaccine is ver very bad................many with long term

reactions from the tetanus portion - tetanus-like illness

The pertussis portion also very reactive.

This vaccine also has aluminum which passes the blood/brain barrier

and takes all with it.

Get medical exemption for that vaccine if you can.

this vax certainly could put her over the edge

otherwise try to use the religious exemption that NY has for schools

let me know if you have more questions

,

It was only the third DPT that my daughter had at age 6 that threw into the

'autism' tailspin from which she has not recovered. As an intermittent camp

health person, I would second Sheri's suggestion. Just fill out the paperwork,

submit w the exemption and maybe notarize it for effect. Be sure to include

instructions for 'no vaccine' or 'contact parent' etc for any injury that may

raise red flag for camp wanting to vaccinate. No need to miss camp because of

this.
