This blantantly unconstitutional. States cannot give sweeping authority to minors or any age (under 18) to make healthcare decisions for themselves, according to the US Supreme Court. So, the best way to fight this may be to include a formal legal argument making this case. Anyone interested in having support with this is welcome to contact me. If you can say, "this bill can't be passed because it's unlawful," that can be more effective than simply saying "I'm against this." Parents in MD need to be vigilant.  These types of bills can sprout legs again, usually hidden in the budget bill for Dept of Health. Being killed in cmte does not mean it is dead for the legislature. Apparently the info I got was incorrect. The bill is still alive. That person(that gave the info) is on this list and aware of what is going on. Thanks, Alan.
