Best wished Therese From: Gwarehouse Sent: Wednesday, 25 January 2012 5:29 PMTo: GwarehouseSubject: Important Fluoride News Hi Everyone on my Fluoride News List, Please read the attached media release, Council says YES to a new community poll on water fluoridation and you’ll understand why we’re asking you to help get signatures for another petition. Not just another petition In fact, this could be the petition to end all petitions. Neil Porter has agreed to enable a community poll on water fluoridation to be run in association with the Council elections on 8th September. This is a fantastic opportunity for the community to finally be heard on this issue. There is just one catch – we have to submit a petition requesting a poll, with sufficient signatures (1000+) 3 months prior to the elections. Important points· Names, addresses and signatures are crucial to the petition. The names and addresses must be printed clearly. Email/Tel No is optional and for our use (to add to our data base) not Council’s. · We need the petitions returned as soon as possible but no later than Mon 21st May 2012. · The return address is at the bottom of the petition but is shown here also:-Post or deliver to FAN C/- 24 Siren Road, Port Macquarie. NSW 2444 For more information email: info@... Phone: 02 6581 2411 Petition forms are available at www.gwarehouse.com.au If you know of anyone running for council, let them know that they will need to be informed on this issue. Just as we did with the state election candidates, we will be asking potential counsellors where they stand on water fluoridation. We need everyone’s help to promote the petition (suggestions most welcome) and to make sure all voters have access to both the pros and cons of water fluoridation. The PMHC website has all the government links and pro-fluoridation information (propaganda) www.pmhc.nsw.gov.au/fluoridation Professor Connett’s website www.fluoridealert.org is still the best site to direct people to who are looking for the most comprehensive, accurate and up-to-date information available. Please download both the media release and several copies of the petition and start collecting signatures. Get them out to your friendly health practitioners, local businesses, groups, clubs, schools, neighbours etc - you’ve all done this before! Don’t forget to put them on your Facebook page. Remember, all the letters, phone calls, petitions and non-consent forms that have already been submitted to Council have helped to get us to this point. Let’s make the most of it. There will be another email shortly regarding the Oshlack Vs Rous Water & Ballina Council case in the Land & Environment Court and other legal action in the works.
