During chelation the mercury is going down the drain. But if enough comes out through sweating to make any difference, should mercury-toxic people be a little careful of where they're sweating? Does that make any sense or am I still all fogged in, lol. Nell
Guest guest
Hi Doris, >Some of you were using Jim's sauna protocol, and seemed to be having nice >results, but I would like to hear how things are now, 6 months later. We're still using Sheri ' sauna protocol and the Healthmate walk-in sauna. We love having Jim's heaters around the house during our brutal winters, but we no longer use them for saunas. We've done about 70 saunas in the Healthmate so far and still feel they help enough to make it worth doing. Maybe by the time we've done ' recommended number of saunas (360?) we can look back and make an accurate assessment. We follow ' protocol for replacing electrolytes when we take a sauna. Guest guest
Bev, The sauna we have is a brand called Thermal Life. As I said, we purchased it from a company called High Tech Health. They have a web site with the same name. I know of a person with lyme in Calif. who sells saunas, but I can't remember the brand. I think it was Softmate or something. they were a bit cheaper than the High Tech one. Her name is . You could probably find her through Google. Good luck in your search. Guest guest
Dear Micul, I am not talking about the smell of ozone, which can last for days. I am talking about the reaction to it -- respiratory reaction and reaction of the eyes -- which do not happen from just the smell. Best of Health! I get a strong ozone smell when exiting my portable sauna when I am only using 1/4 litre and also having the temp at 115 deg. It seems the the smell of ozone is still there even after it is broken down to where it is inactive. The flow rate of 1/2 litre per min is still almost nothing when you think about it. That's only 1/2 of a large coke bottle in one minute. I can't undrerstand how ozone cannot be broken down at 110 deg very quickly regardless of how much of it is put into a such an environment. Guest guest
Thanks . Glad you mentioned iron 'cause I didn't think of that and I do tend to go low in iron. I'm also finding that I have to eat lots of salt. I'm thinking that if I sauna while taking the chelators it might help to remove the metals. The one time I did sauna at the end of the round I didn't have the day after roller coaster at all. > >> For a person using Andy's protocol, 3 days on (Fri to Sun), 4 days > >> off, what days do you think it would be best to incorporate sauna into > >> the routine? > > I'm one of the people who do this. Guest guest
Hi there Yes a normal sauna has great benefits. The more you use the sauna the more you clean you skin, a great organ in helping us to detoxify, and of course a sauna helps with the movement of our lymph and helps to move along the poisons. I apologize for the very basic explaination but when I was first diagnosed with breast cancer my naturopath harped on a few things - they were a sauna for lymph flow and detoxification, excersice for helping the lymph flow, and excercise with Oxygen to help the body oxygenate and help the lymph. Those three things were real important to him plus of course drinking about 3 litres of water [not from tap] a day. Hope this helps. Odette bloooos wrote: I noticed there has been some mention of infrared saunas being beneficial. Such a simple thing to do....sauna is like a treat for me, can it really be good also? I am sure there are no health benifits to tanning beds....right? I have never used one but the health club I just joined has some. Has anyone had benifits from using regular sauna? Guest guest
> Has anyone had benifits from using regular sauna? Four regular saunas are in use currently in NY to detoxify rescue workers at the 9/11 site. Studies are to be published later this year. The results so far have been remarkable with some firefighters sweating blue/gray sweat, presumably from all the vaporized metals in the air. In Europe, some clinics use saunas as an adjunct to cancer treaments as the heat-induced circulatory stimulation apparently makes some other agents more effective. Bob. Guest guest
Hi Tina I'm not a sauna expert by any means, but I've never heard any positive reports of High Tech Health saunas on this list (quite a few negative reports, though). You might want to check the archives using Onibasu. Heavenly Heat saunas are well thought of by many, so that might be worth looking into. I'm sorry, it would be great to find a bargain, wouldn't it? take care René > > I want to buy an infra red sauna for some time now and was leaning > towards the high tech health 3 person model. Guest guest
You could go to the frequent dose chelation forum and mention that you are thinking of buying a FIR sauna and would like some feedback. A salesman at Heavenly Heat will give you the other side of the story. I myself have a FIR and find it extremely helpful in lowering my body burden and us it a lot during my ALA courses and especially inbetween rounds. With me, if I start getting a headache from possible redistribution the FIR stops it. Guest guest
We bought a Heavenly Heat sauna and , seriously, it's almost a work of art. It's so well crafted and beautifully made. These are people who care about quality and toxicity issues. Plus all the windows really help my son who has been claustrophobic in other settings (like an HBOT chamber!). We've been using it for three weeks and really like it so far. For my money, it's a better deal. Guest guest
Tina, You know how you feel when you buy some supplement at a great price, but then you get it home, open it, give one to your kid, he flips out, you read the label and realize that it has something in it he can't tolerate? Well, if you buy a sauna that is inferior and can actually cause your child harm instead of doing him good, you'd have to multiply that feeling by a million. We're not rolling in money, that is for sure, but if I buy a sauna I am going to buy one from Heavenly Heat. What I've read convinces me that this company is by far my best option. The only option, really. I don't want to have to stick a sauna at the back of the cupboard, never used, because I was trying to save some money. Instead, I'll buy the one that I believe will help my family even if it means spending quite a bit more. And I am the frugal queen. It's sauna_detox FIR has been recommended to me by a nutritionist. Unfortunately, I haven't one close to my home to try and it ranges from $30 - $45 per half hour depending on the package you choose. My husband wants to buy one, but we really don't have the room and I don't really want to pay $1,000 - $2,000 for something we may not use after the newness wears off. Hopes this helps! Guest guest
Holly I've been steaming and saunaing...lol for the last couple of months. Major help, either infrared or not. The key is raising your body temp to cause them to vacate. Either Sue or told me to jump on it last fall, but being overwhelmed, I didn't get to it. Misteak. It helps big time. I recently picked up a used cedrus sauna on craigslist cheap and I'm not jumping up and down about it. It only seems to heat to about 120/125. I like it hotter to really make me sweat. i know it's working deep in me but I like it hotter. The bugs hate the heat. Keep at it where your going, it will help big time, infrared or not. I actually like the steam room at the gym better. b > > > > > > From: katiejill109 <kajay109 (DOT) com> > > > Subject: This purging process is strangely layered > > > bird mites > > > Date: Wednesday, February 11, 2009, 12:56 PM > > > > > > > > > As y'all know, my body has been purging critters from the various > > > layers of tissue. Guest guest
I have tried Trish's clay mix Holly. I use it about once a week, full body, scalp too. I like it much better than the bentonite clay alone I had been using. It's very fine and seems to get in the pores better. I feel so clean afterwards. Everyone should do a full body clay masque once a week. It pulls all sorts of toxins out of your skin and our " friends " I think. b > > > > > > > > > > > > From: katiejill109 <kajay109 (DOT) com> > > > > > > Subject: This purging process is strangely > > > layered > > > > > > bird mites > > > > > > Date: Wednesday, February 11, 2009, 12:56 PM > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > As y'all know, my body has been purging critters from the > > > various > > > > > > layers of tissue. Guest guest
I havent gotten it yet, its coming with my ESP order, but yes i plan on using it with the sauna. Did you talk to Trisha? The products that we like are the New Hope soap, and balm the most. All the products are good though. I use the baby products for my baby. > > > > > > > > > > > > From: katiejill109 <kajay109 (DOT) com> > > > > > > Subject: This purging process is strangely > > > layered > > > > > > bird mites > > > > > > Date: Wednesday, February 11, 2009, 12:56 PM > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > As y'all know, my body has been purging critters from the > > > various > > > > > > layers of tissue.
