Guest guest
Had you done much planting before you planted those garlic chives? I have some chives but don't think it is garlic that I put in over a year ago and they are going strong. I've let them go to flower. Do I get seeds from the flowers? I was going to divide them up and put more in. I put them in an upside down countainer with tomatoes. The garlic did better than the tomatoes did. The grape ones were fine but the whole size did about nothing. 2 tomatoes and birds or bugs got them.   Carolyn Wilkerson  To: sproutpeople Sent: Wednesday, June 6, 2012 9:28 PM Subject: A thank you to......  I am sorry I don't remember who made these suggestions, but a thank you to who ever you(s) are for recommending the stainless steel colander for rinsing sprouts and the H2Go water system. We ordered both and love both. I am amazed at how good the water tastes (we use home distilled in the H2Go) and rinsing sprouts using the colander has really made it easier. Side note on garlic sprouts. A decade ago or so I ordered a mix from sproutpeople.org that had some garlic seeds in it. They took very long to sprout so I picked them out and planted them in a pot outside. They sprouted and 10 years later we are still enjoying garlic chives from the same plant in our omelette's, salads, potato salad and all kinds of dishes. Thanks again, Happily Sprouting, Diane
