Guest guest
PESTICIDES and GENOCIDE are they CAUSALLY linked or just COINCIDENTAL http://www.indiaenvironmentportal.org.in/files/end_of_the_road_for_endosulfan.pdf Carson talks of DDT and ORGANOCHLORINE pesticides in her 1963 book SILENT SPRING. Immediately picked up by the then president who wanted something done apart from just giving her a medal. Something was done fairly quickly, including a FUN book ridiculing her work. Fun for Big HARMA but not funny for those at the WORK end of pesticides or even the NEIGHBOURS who live nearby (Le Roy girls?) In any event DDT was banned a few years later but the more dangerous more long lasting ENDOSULFAN rested in place simply because it didn't appear to be an organochlorine to the uninitiated. No chlorine mentioned anywhere. How can a nation justify a ban on a harmless organochlorine such as DDT but allow the use of highly toxic members of the same family of ORGANOCHLORINES? We are not 1963 or the world of Carson. We are in a 2012 world where this lady would TURN OVER in her grave and SCREAM if she could. The 1972 ban on ORGANOCHLORINE compounds was about as FARCICAL as the 1999 ban on MERCURY in VACCINES. A FARCE Spelt: F A R C E. FARCE. In our wisdom we discover little facts like SIDS children are slightly more likely to be SIDS. Up to TEN times more likely to die healthy as SIDS. If parents use what we thought BANNED generations ago. People are living poor quality lives because they have choose any of THREE serious out of TEN health issues. You don't have to be dead to suffer harm from BIG HARMA. BUT our FUN friends will say: WHERE IS THE PROOF. Mercury? That's a BRAIN IMPROVER. PESTICIDES? That's what we need in our food isnt it? GMO? that's MONSANTO taking over the world. SAY no more. PESTICIDES and GENOCIDE are they CAUSALLY linked or just COINCIDENTAL
