Dr. Art Caplan, the Emmanuel and Hart Director of the Center for Bioethics and the Sidney D. Caplan Professor of Bioethics at Penn, will speak at Western Michigan University. His talk, titled " The Inevitability of Rationing and How to be Fair About It, " is free and open to the public.Caplan also will address the controversy surrounding the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine in a lunch talk the same day beginning at noon in the Fetzer Center's Putney Auditorium. The talk is titled " The HPV Vaccine Controversy: Science, Ethics and Politics " and is free and open to the public. A light lunch will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
