water leak - insurance question

Has anybody experience with my problem:

We had a water leak causing mold in the bathroom.The reason was a defect in the

toilet.

Is there any change it might be covered by the homeowner insurance?

Mold is included, but in this case the mold came after the water leak.

Unfortunately we have been away for some days.
