Guest guest
“Old bean†is a classic British familiar form of address, roughly equivalent to an American’s greeting of “buddy,†“pal†“friend,†or, at least lately, “dude.†It doesn’t actually mean anything, although to American ears it certainly sounds slightly odd. Cheerio is a slang way of saying goodbye. Such as, see ya later, alligator. ew Melody You're so helpful and lovely, thank you for all your STG detective work. Big THANK YOU! Sorry I deleted the email to reply to it directly and thank you's should be public when someone needs recognising Cheerio Old Bean (posh old term of endearment towards others, usually tagged on to cheerio, no idea why 'old bean' but it's rather fitting on a sprouting forum!) Guest guest
Happy to help Charlotte. If I hear anything further from the other emails I sent out, I shall be sure to let you know. We SPROUTERS have to stick together. And a Cheerio back at ya (now that I know it's slang for goodbye) lol, Melody
