Guest guest
Hi Maritza, I remember you and how much you have struggled to feel better. I think you can get better on your own without a doctor! But if you have not gotten better in 2 years, you may have to make some changes. Are you detoxing at all? If you have been doing regular detoxing and are still not seeing improvements, it is time to look at adding some things that might be missing in your body. You can do all the detoxing in the world to get better, but if you don't get what your body needs, you are not going to heal. Those things that we have to get somewhere else would be either nutrients or the hormones. If you have not checked into hormonal support, please do! Thyroid--armour thyroid Adrenal--depends on if you have high or low cortisol, but there are things you can take, such as cortef, licorice root, and Vitamin C Reproductive--there are creams and pills for bio-identical hormone replacement therapy. I wish you wellness. My hope is that all women will heal! Patty > > > > HI April, > > Is magnesium something that anyone can take or should it be > > suggested through a doctor. Guest guest
Hi Maritza, Having your implants removed is just the first step. . . Do you know if your capusules were completely removed? I'd recommend "The Maker's Diet", not just for food plans, but for understand why nutrition is so important. www.magnesiumresearchlab.com explains why magnesium is very important . . and the kinds to take. Magnesium deficiency plays a huge role in muscle pain, bone strength, fibromalgia, heart health, and more. . . The way foods are raised in the modern world leaves most fruits and veggies lacking in essential vitamins and minerals. Please read through the archives . . . not just old messages, but files and links. . . You'll know you've come to the right place. . . Unfortunately, you likely have a lot of work to do, but the good news is that you can get much, much better ., . . You can get your life back! Guest guest
If you dont have problems with constipation you can try " 's " aloe vera juice(no smell/taste). If there is problems with constipation try Wallmart brand(the taste isnt to bitter). If just for pain/relaxing you can give up to about 2-3 ounces to help relax (helps with inflamation anywhere in the body and pain). Aloe well loosen the stools as the same with magnesium. Use recommended daily amounts on magnesium for maintenance. We use higher doses 2-3 times a week of magnesium oxide, but this is for seizure control and looser stools. As far as the magnesium we use capsule/powder form and add to food. It is more absorbable this way, pills tend to just pass through and liquid forms can be a little upsetting to the stomach with some (this is magnesium)especially the citrate form. Always eat with magnesium, aloe this isnt neccesary. Jennie<>< Hi everyone- > My 7 year old son has mild autism (verbal with a speech delay). He started having rage episodes this past month. Guest guest
Kelley, My son is 50 pounds as well and I give him Threelac twice a day, (after breakfast and before bed) and also have him up to the same amount of Biotin as your son. I also give him 1 teaspoon twice a day of Natural Calm Magnesium (I get it at Whole Foods) but you can buy it online as well. I believe it is very absorbable. We had to work our way up to 1 teaspoon because it will cause diarrhea if you are taking too much and my son has that issue if we give him too much. (Sometimes it may be adjustments in the enzymes that really cause the loose stools, but once he has that problem, we back off on the Natural Calm a little until his stools get firmer.) The way I do it is I pour a little boiling water on the Natural Calm powder, and it fizzes up. Once it settles down, I pour a little orange juice in to cool it. My son will not take it with pear juice, like he does for enzymes. Pear juice is better if you have any yeast issues. I take it myself just in water, but he won't drink it that way because it is quite tart. Reminds me of " Tang " from my childhood Anyway, then I add one packet of Threelac because he won't drink it just in water. Then I mix that up and give it to him with a straw. He dissolves a half a tablet (500 mcg) of Biotin on his tongue either just before or just after having the drink. I'm not sure if this is the best way to do it but it's the way he will take these before heading off to school in the morning. Guest guest
Thanks for the information. I did see the Natural Calm at Whole Foods. I think I will try that. How much Threelac are you giving at each time? Do you only give the Biotin in the morning? Guest guest
Kelley, Every morning after breakfast, and again in the evening before bed time, I give my son (1) packet of Threelac with a teaspoon of Natural Calm (we started with 1/2 teaspoon) in a little bit of orange juice. I give him his Biotin either right before or right after that. The brand of Biotin I use is Nature's Way, and it comes in 1000 mcg tablets which I now cut in half. We started with 1/4 tablet and they are pretty easy to cut and my son likes them because they are a little sweet and they dissolve on the tongue. Keep me posted as to how this works with your son and I'll do the same > > Thanks for the information. I did see the Natural Calm at Whole Foods. Guest guest
> > I have a Magnesium Aspartate sup' + another supplement which contains > Magnesium Oxide..Which of these is most likely to cause soft > mushy/sticky bm? Oxide is not as well absorbed as other forms. Too much magnesium will tend to cause diarrhea. It is easier to reach the " too much " stage with oxide, because the other forms will be better absorbed. Guest guest
Andy recommends 200mg with each meal and another at bedtime. Mg orotate or malate are the most body-friendly forms... 400mg is a lot of powder to fit in one cap. When you say " a 400mg capsule " it reminds me that sometimes, when the vitamin bottle says " Magnesium 400mg " , it's always best to look at the ingredients panel. Sometimes it will say " 2 caps provide... 400mg Mg " . So each cap is 200mg. Best to check. >I am taking 140 mg. of magnesium in a vitamin. Is it OK to add more >magnesium? Like a 400mg capsule more? I have given as much as 1000mg of magnesium when my kids were just starting certain supplements that require magnesium for proper absorption. Watch for diarrhea and headache, which were my kids' and my signs that the dose was too high. Dana
