Guest guest
Sheri, you make these three points so concisely. Would it be ok with you if I quoted you on my Facebook page?Alison MacNeil Re; Wakefield - Message from the Editor of AoA From Mark Blaxill, editor of Age of Autism:http://www.ageofautism.com/2011/12/from-the-editor.html Momentous "It's deeply important that all of us in the autism parent communityappreciate the importance of this event and band together in support ofAndy. The stakes are high and the counter attack will be ruthless. Beprepared and be proud that we are all fighting together." I couldn't agree more! The attack on Dr. Wakefield has been an attack onall of us that has children harmed by vaccines. Big Government and BigBusiness with the help of the corporate media has tried to make him thesymbol of the vaccine-autism link, so they think by destroying HIM, theydestroy the problem. WRONG. I support Dr. Wakefield for three basic reasons: Number 1, it is the morally correct thing to do. He wouldn't turn hisback on our kids, so I won't turn my back on him. Number 2, by proving that Dr. Wakefield did NOT committ any type offraud, then perhaps the real facts about vaccine damage can be discussedwithout other doctors fearing for their careers. Supporting Dr. Wakefieldwill directly impact the lives of my children in a positive way. Researchcannot be squashed because some of it implicates the dangers of vaccines. We are currently in the Dark Ages, and we need a Renaissance Man to shinelight on the science of vaccine induced autism. Number 3, Dr. Wakefield is innocent of the charges made against him, anddeserves justice. This article explains the Defamation Suit: http://gaia-health.com/gaia-blog/2012-01-07/bmj-focuses-on-science-fraud-but-is-their-own-is-exposed-by-wakefield-lawsuit/ And here is an article about one of the kids he was trying to help:http://www.ageofautism.com/2010/04/i-am-josh-a-boy-after-his-mmr.htmlHe could have preserved his career and livelyhood by turning his back onJosh and kids like him. But he wouldn't do it. He has guts and couragemost can only imagine! And he has paid a terrible price for doing theright thing. I will NOT turn my back on HIM.
