Guest guest
How do you help prevent mold in the coils in the first place other than not use the AC? Is it outside air coming in that has mold spores? Cant you flush the coils out some way every now and then? Spores need mor than humidity to grow, right? Ive wondered about cars getting humid .. ?? Guest guest
Where I live is highly humid. I do not open up my car only on dry days. I exchange my air in safe places, let usally beach air clean the air in my car. I drive with the recirculation button on (means it is closed to ourside air) I realized in someone else's car the air coming in made me ill. It wasn't my car. If I put pets in the car I cover seats with something I can wash. Usally towels they have that are theirs only. With a brarrier cloth in between the towels and the seats I can take those out and wash them.  Also vacum your car frquently especially after a move. Clean the sufaces frequently, Change your cabin filters, and other car filters frequently. I do not have a mold issue in my car like this. I never let rain in the car. I wait until it lets up (inconvinient but necessary).  keeping your car dry and clean is a must. Especially if you have no monies and it maybe your new home like with us. (always possible again) and again .  ymmv Hope this helps !! God Bless !! dragonflymcs Mayleen ________________________________ From: listspub <listspub@...> Sent: Fri, August 13, 2010 2:30:38 AM Subject: [] Car AC/Re: more mold  How do you help prevent mold in the coils in the first place other than not use the AC?
