Guest guest
GRAPEFRUIT SEED EXTRACT... Mix some liquid GSE in a small amount of water. A baby food jar works nicely. Then take a q-tip and dip it in the solution. swab the inner cheeks and gums with this solution a few times a day. Also, give GSE internally. Start with a very low dose and gradually work up. Make sure the child is on good quality probiotics. This will cure the thrush. Thrush is candida (yeast) of the mouth, which means the child has a candida infection of the digestive tract. > > What can you do to treat it? > > > > >
Guest guest
----- Original Message ----- From: Maggie O'rourke What can you do to treat it? ===>Isn't this just yeast? Could they gargle with some lemon juice with a couple of drops of GSE in the glass? If not, I'd try some 3Lac in some apple/pearsauce, with direct contact to the mouth. Guest guest
Yeast breakouts imply a breakdown of the body organs. via toxic buildup.. There is lots of info on the " lymphatic system " of our body... I would suggest reading more on that.. Also read up on Candida... Guest guest
Becki, Our son conner had a lot of trouble with thrush. The only way we could get it under control was with gentian violet (OTC- our pharmacist ordered for us). However you can't swallow gentian violet, so you can only use it on areas you can reach with a swab. He hated Nystatin, but our hospital either found cherry nystatin or made it. He said it was better than the regular. He also tried the Mycelex troche (dissolves in the mouth), but hated that too. If she is really struggling you could ask about using a systemic anti-fungal, but they are hard on the liver. Also, if she is using an inhaled steroid make sure she drinks afterward. We hate thrush, it is a real pain! Sent via BlackBerry by AT & T Thrush Well I found out what was causing Reagon's sore throat...dr. said she has thrush all down the back of her throat. She gave her something to gargle with but I am having a hard time getting Reagon to do it. She says it taste terrible and wants to rinse her mouth out afterwards which I'm sure defeats the whole purpose! So, anyone ever tried anything else? I'm having her eat yoguart, but someone told me to try to avoid sugar as much as I can because the yeast lives off it. Would probiotics help? I have some of those in the fridge that I give her when she has digestive issues. Also, her PFT's were down a little this week agian, but I was wondering could it of been because of the thrush? Guest guest
My son was put on Mycelex for his recent throat thrush--it is a throat lozenge that dissolves in a few minutes in the mouth. He did not really mind the taste, only tricky part was the need to take it 5 times during the day. It was by doctor's prescription, not over the counter...I don't have any " home-remedy " to offer. Guest guest
---Last yr my son kept getting it, even using nystatin and later diflucan. I also put him on probiotics. then he got it down his throat, same as you, I took him in thinking it was an infection, it was thrush all down his throat. Our pulmo had the pharm. fix up something called " magic mouthwash " . It had kaopectate, benedryl, lidocaine, and a couple other ingredients I cant recall. Guest guest
I've heard of that before. Reagon's dentist has prescribed it for her mouth sores before. He called it pink magic..because I think they used mylanta in it. Does it actually help the thrush go away or just the pain caused by it?? I was never really sure. Thanks! Guest guest
You should try gentian violet. It's available at most pharmacies. It's over the counter, but have to ask the pharmacy for it. If they don't have it in stock they can order. We've used it alot. My son pretty much keeps thrush. You just swab around inside your mouth with it couple times a day. Usually gone in 2-3 days. But, you will be walkin around with a purple mouth and be careful not to spill as it will stain. But, seems to work. They used it on my son at childrens hospital for the first time when he was 2mths. old. Been usin ever since, when the nystatin isn't working. > > Well, if I had only waited one day, I could have answered my own > question. Guest guest
Gentian Violet is awesome, it will kill even severe thrush infections of the mouth or diaper area in 2-3 days. We did 4 months straight of nystatin when dd was a baby, poor thing had horrible yeast diaper rashes and dd would just scream bloody murder when she wet her diaper she was so raw from the yeast and everyone online suggested I try the GV on it and in 3 days it was gone. Not bad for a $2 bottle that lasted a couple of years:) We never tried nystatin again after that. Re: Thrush > You should try gentian violet. Guest guest
, Yea..I checked that when I picked it up. The mouthwash he called in has Lidocain, Benadryl and Maalox..no nystatin. I asked the pharmacist and he said since I already had the liquid nystatin that I could just pour some in a measuring cup and mix it in with the pink stuff. He said it's all mixed in equal parts. Reagon hated the taste of the nystatin and kept wanting to drink after she had swished with it. Hopefully mixing it with this will help it taste more appealing. If not..I'm buying some of that violet stuff! Thanks!! Guest guest
Hi Ellen, I'm sorry to hear you are suffering with this. Sometimes the candida symptoms get worse before they get better. Here are some oral thrush treatments that Bee recommends: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/treat18.php You could also try doing oil pulling with coconut oil. Do a google search to find out how it is done, just be sure to use coconut oil or olive oil. Good luck! > > I am having terrible problems with thrush. I have pretty clean > diet. It is unproven as an anti-fungal and many commercial preparations are made with chloride forms of detergents so the GSE can have toxins in it that will harm you. Check past message strings by typing in " grapefruit seed extract " . All the best, Marissa

In understand how bad it is, since I had severe thrush and mouth problems when I did my candida program over 20 years ago. Like wrote you can get some relief by doing direct treatments, however it will not be cured until your body is ready, and it takes 1 month of natural healing for every year you've been unhealthy. For most people nowadays that is since before they were born. Remember that this program not only cures candida but it is also a healing program. You say your diet is pretty clean, but you do not list good fats. Are you on my diet and taking all of the supplements, or someone else's? You didn't say you are taking unrefined coconut oil, which is the main antifungal on this program. Please ensure you read How to Successfully Overcome Candida and Curing Candida, How to Get Started, since they also explain about how the body heals itself naturally and why it produces healing/die-off symptoms and even " retraces " all previous illnesses, symptoms, diseases, injuries, etc.: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/candida/index.php For encouragement see this many Success Stories by members of this group: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/success/index.php The best to you, Bee

Guest guest
I just wanted to clarify the acid blocker is definitely not needed for my reflux. It actually never worked for my reflux, which was severe. The reflux finally disappeared after I got on your diet. I stopped taking it for several weeks when I started your program. No reflux but the burning in my stomach definitely got worse. I just don't know how to handle these two issues together. Your thoughts would be much appreciated. thanks so much! I believe my yeast problem is the result of the use of a steroidal nasal spray and inhalers which I have not taken for five months. I have one problem though which I believe is hindering my success. To get off it, stop taking it all at once, and get a good unpasteurized sauerkraut (found in the fridge at the health store), and take 1/2 cup with every meal. Also take it with you everywhere and every time you get stomach symptoms take 1-2 tablespoons; also take it in the night when you get burning symptoms. It will take about 3 weeks. Guest guest
Thanks Bee, I will go out and stock up on more sauerkraut today. I am already eating sauerkraut with my meals (because I read about it on your website), but now I will also eat some whenever I feel the burning. This is just the kind of answer I was hoping for. Hate, hate taking the acid blocker. Now I can be all in. Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my question. Emmi > > > > I have been on the program for eight weeks now.
