Normally, I only look for aluminum on baking powder labels, in which

case I wouldn't buy it. Next time I'm at the store, I could look for

you, although I doubt any do have aluminum. They are supposed to be pure

sodium bicarbonate, but these days who knows what new vector they will

choose to introduce into our bodies whatever they want right past the

watchdogs that they control.

I rarely make quick breads anyway, so I don't usually use either one

when I'm baking breads. I keep a sugarless sour dough starter with a

non-commercial yeast in the fridge and nearly always use that for

baking, because I had heard that the commercial yeast is mainly of a

type that was once outlawed just for being unhealthy.
