I had a dark brown spot appear on my face a couple of months ago. I put a drop of the extract on my face twice a day for 3 weeks and spot is gone. Love sprouts! Guest guest
That is great, Lucy! What did you use as the carrier for the extract? > > I read so many good things about broccoli sprouts that I made an extract of broccoli sprouts - double strength. Guest guest
I put broccoli sprouts in a quart jar and filled it with vodka. Close jar, stored in dark place, shake or stir once a day. In a few weeks (from 2 to 6 weeks from what I found on internet sites) strain, discard sprouts. For double strength, place new broccoli sprouts in strained liquid. Again, close jar, keep in dark place, shake or stir once a day. In a few weeks, strain, discard sprouts. I bottled my extract in dark glass bottles. On label I put: Broccoli extract, date started, date bottled. They say it is good for 5 or more years. Guest guest
Vodka is what I used. It was the most often mentioned on sites I checked for directions. Guest guest
That is great! I use either potato vodka or almond oil, but I wasn't sure what you had used-so glad it worked for you, thanks for sharing! > > > > > > I read so many good things about broccoli sprouts that I made an extract of broccoli sprouts - double strength. Guest guest
, If you have made extracts, maybe you can clear something up for me. When looking at how to make extracts from various materials, all but one has said to keep the plant-alcohol mixture in the dark. The directions I have found for mint extract say to put the bottle of mint and alcohol outdoors in sunlight. Do you know if there is a reason for dark or light in the process? Thank you. Guest guest
I always keep my extracts in dark-and in dark brown glass bottles. I am guessing the method using sun would be to " steep " it like sun tea, but I think light degrades them too quickly. > > > > > > Vodka is what I used.
