Guest guest
Hi Donna, I understand how frustrating this can be. About seven years ago, I had a very bad exposure and developed rheumatoid like symptoms that were extremely painful in my upper arms and hands. My joints were very swollen. I saw numerous specialist including rheumatologists, internists, infectious disease specialists, and OCCMED docs. Several doctors did say that they thought I had Lupus. I tested negative for everything, except I had a very high sedimentation rate. Also, I have Hashimoto, and my thyroid peroxidase levels were extremely high, although the T3 and T4 did not change (I do take synthroid). Interesting, I went on a vacation to the Caribbean and had my symptoms worsen when I went into the ocean (but not swimming pool). In retrospect, I think there were likely biotoxins in the ocean that exacerbated the inflammation. The rheumatoid type symptoms remained for about 2 years. Sometimes my hands were so swollen that I could not hold my brand new grandson (that was the worst part). No doctors could figure out what was going on, but they all agreed that I had some type of inflammation. The OCCMED doc agreed that my reactions were likely from exposures to contaminants in water damaged buildings. I ultimately got better by staying out of water damaged buildings for a while (I am a consultant). I have been much more diligent with PPE also. In reading Dr. Thrasher's publications, I see now that thermoactinomytes, toxins, and other contaminants in water damaged buildings were the likely cause. Reading some of Dr. Thrasher's posts and publications might be helpful to you. BTW, I have not had any rheumatoid type symptoms for five years. However, I have developed chronic sinusitis and other allergenic type reactions. I do not take medications for allergies unless I get a severe reaction. However, I do take a supplement, Intramax, that has glutathione and other toxin binders. Good Luck. We were both tested and found to have positive ANA speckled pattern titers. Although we continue to have all the previous symptoms (antibiotics seem to be helpng my daughter some), a recent ANA test showed us both as negative. Her ENT doc disregards any suggestion of mold as the cause and my rheumatologist still believes it is lupus and also feels mold is not a contributing factor. > > Can you lend any insights into this situation. > Thanks! > Donna >
Guest guest
Go to biotoxin info, you have mold illness. You must remove from exposure. Mold triggers auto-immune issues, Go to Low Dose Naltrexone.com, this therapy can reverse auto-immunity, it cured my RA --- In , " donna.ruppert@... Guest guest
I am going to put a packet together for my MD to educate him on mold and MCS. He has been more open lately the more I have talked to him and told him about diagnoses I have received from other health professionals. Someone else has had success getting his doctor to listen more and wanting to help by bringing in more and more material for him to get educated on mold. Are you doing any detoxing? Antifungals like raw garlic or olive leaf extract? [] WDB and positive ANA My daughter and I were exposed to high levels of mold (we had air tested) in early summer. Both times about two days later I hurt in every joint and could barely get out of bed. My joints swelled and atayed that way. I went to a rheumatologist and I asked about the LDN and he said I didn't have RA and gave me pain meds which cause ringing in my ears to worsen. None of my doctors believe the exposures cause the swelling. My knees never recovered and it's been almost two years. ANy advice on how to get the LDN from a doctor?
